Mertesacker, Metzelder, Kehl and Ballack are all out for the friendly vs Sweden on Wednesday.

Malik Fathi, Berlin's young German Turk, has been called up for the first time. He's a leftback.

I'm glad to see Löw introducing more new uncapped players. Hopefully he will call up people like Kevin-Prince Boateng, Piotr Trochowski, Stefan Kießling, Chinedu Ede, Toni Kroos, Manuel Fischer, ect. later on down the road.

Maybe Fathi was called up to to prevent him from being eligible to play for Turkey in the future. The German FA already missed out on too many quality German born Turks like the Altintop twins, Bastürk, Nuri Sahin etc.

Lahm -- Friedrich -- Friedrich -- Jansen that would be my defensive lineup. I doubt anyone wants to see freaking Nowotny.

Toni Kross? :| That guy's 16, he's at least one, probably two years away from playing for the Bayern amateurs.

In my opinion Kießling and Rolfes (both Leverkusen) and Polanski (Gladbach) are ready to be called up. All of them played consistent first team football last year.

Trochowski doesn't impress me much to be honest. When he was at Bayern I thought he could be the next big thing but it seems he's not gonna be more than a decent squad player.

Hey, at this rate we'll soon be able to field an nt consisting of players with Polish roots only.
Podolski, Klose, Sinkiewicz, Trochwski, Polanski, Delura
They robbed our land, we take their players. ;)

Well Pele was 17 when he won the world cup, lol. But Toni Kroos should ready to be called up by the World Cup 2010, and also all the Germany team is going to be the Ghanaians and Polish people, maybe with some Germans. But I'd really like to see Boateng he has an excellent long shot, he made one from the halfway line.

So if we win the 2008 European Cup, we could do what we did in the 1970s :jambo: :shades:

Also, Germany won it in 1954 then in 1974, that's a 20 year difference. They also won it in 1990 and in 2010 it will be a 20 year difference!

and...

1990+1974-1954=2010 :jambo:

Germany is killing Sweden, leading 2-0 after just eight minutes. Schneider scored first goal and Klose scored a world-class second goal.
