I've known it for all these years............Manning>>>>>Brady! Haha!

If Shockey "keeps" himself under control, there is no reason why this team won't be back in the SB next season.....Romo's GF, Favre's age and Rex Grossman should see to that.

Anyways, congrats to the Giants fans.

Oh there are plenty of reason why they won't be back. Free agency. Strahan gonna retire? Spagnuolo going to the 'skins? Coughlin gonna retire? Aging secondary. Playing with a gigantic target on their back and even added pressure being NY's team. Getting to the SB twice in a row, not to mention winning it twice in a row, is one of the hardest things in sports. I'll put their chances at 10%.

You forgetting about/already writing off the J-E-T-S?

There was another young fellow...oh around 10 odd years ago....who won his first title pretty young...and got RIGHT BACK to the game the very next year....he also played in the NFC....he didn't win it the second time around, but atleast he got back.....

.....and like Eli Manning, he too won a playoff game at Lambeau Field.

I think Coughlin will be back, but you're right about Strahan maybe stepping down.

Strahan stated that he will stick around and will ask permittion to skip camp again.
Coughlin is about to sign a new 4 year deal.
Aging secondary? The pats had their entire defensive line well above 30. They paced preatty well.
Free agency? Yeah sure, although you forget to note that that tents to be a plus for NY teams even though there is a salary cap.

hurhurhur....bro, not to sound smug or nothing but I've been backing your squad since that last game of the season against the Pats. I'm not gonna say that I saw them going all the way because if I did, I'd be laying it heavy on the moneyline with them every week, but I really did have this feeling that they'd beat the Cowboys outright and keep it hair-raisingly close against the Pack and the Pats aswell.

Anyway. Suffice it to say that I've been gloryhuntin' your team's successes ever since my Steelers went out, so I sorta feel that I was on your side and part of this whole legendary run and maybe even somewhat responsible for it, so you're the one who should be congratulating me, bro......yer forever indebted to me, man.....I was yer talisman in this historic journey.

Don't forget that they're in arguably the toughest division in football, going against Washington, Dallas, and Philly 6 times next season. All 4 teams in the division finished the year at .500 or better.

I also doubt the Giants are going to repeat their feat of 7 straight road wins in the regular season.

Oh Tom, hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it!

You can almost sense the arrogance in his chuckle...

Coughlin should do a Lippi and just retire with the win. Seriously, one year ago they were ready to crucify the guy, and now he wins them the SuperBowl..

This was the toughest loss I can think of. I mean, last year was bad, it took me a few weeks to turn on the tv; I missed the Super Bowl for the first time in a good decade or so. But this one is worst. I was pretty confident the defense had Eli's number. The almost sack play basically won the game. I'm not sure how he got away. If you ask me 99 times out of 100 he is sacked, but he got it, and the catch was spectacular.

Even after the near INTs, and the huge **** up by Hobbs, I still thought Tom could pull it off. He almost did, but I can't even blame him. He was hit every single play. Not to take anything away from the Giants' front four, but it seems like the O-line laid an egg. If it wasn't getting pushed back so Tom couldn't step up, it was an offside call for a 3rd and long. Or, of course, a sack. You can't expect to win with those mental errors, especially with all that pressure.

That blown coverage by Rodney was the turn around for the Giants, he usually never gives that much room. But it was a great pass, and maybe he underestimated Boss. Who knows. After that, the offense finally looked alive for that drive, but the defense couldn't hold on.

I mostly feel bad for Seau, he deserves a ring. And he played his ass off. Maybe he'll be back next year, even if it he plays a minimal role. I'd love to see him get a ring.

I'm already looking forward to next season. Tom will have a year under his belt with his receivers, I think the pressure will be far less than this. So he'll be fine. If Moss is re-signed, which I'm sure he will, and hopefully Donte' or Gaffney are re-signed as well, there's a great tandem.

There are a lot of questions on defense; Bruschi might retire, same for Seau, Samuel wants big money, so he might leave. I'm hoping there aren't a lot of losses, because the draft should be good. And the depth is needed.

Anyway, this was hard to swallow, but I've accepted it. For some weird reason I still like Eli. He doesn't have the annoying-ness that his brother has, so better him than Mr. Egghead. Of course, if we play them again next year, I want him to be buried to the ground every single play.

Are you kidding me? Eli is way more annoying than Peyton. Peyton is good and didn't have life given to him on a silver spoon (or at least not to the extent Eli did). Eli looks and acts like a total bitch, first of all. Secondly, he is not very talented, and yet forced a draft day trade and STILL was taken #1. I mean, I cannot fathom why the Giants wanted him #1 when they could have taken Phil Rivers (who also sucks by the way, but has more tools) or Big Ben and been perfectly happy.

I really just have a person grudge against Eli, and have ever since the day he was drafted.

Face it Skip. No matter who leaves, we're gonna be f*cked on defense next season. I can see at least three to five starters leaving, whether its through retirement, free agency, or cap hits. However, the rest of the division seems to be permanently stuck in neutral or reverse, so winning the AFC East again shouldn't be a problem. Its just once we get to January that I am most concerned about.

How can you say he acts like a total bitch when everyone on the country knows how laid back he is. He almost never replies to criticism. Never bad mouths anyone.

As far as the performance goes, Shifty the kid just won a Super Bowl for Christ sake. that last drive he pulled of IS one of the greatest moments in SB history.

Rivers? Laughable really, he fights with the fans and the media hates him. that is in SD. Imagine him being able to survive under NY media scrutiny.

Roethlisberger is another issue maybe he would have been great in NY but remember he took over a team that had all the pieces in place. Eli carried an injury plagued Giant team to a championship.

I would go as far as saying that IF the Packers had Eli throwing instead of Favre they would have beaten the Giants.

That was some draft day trade..........well, Rivers hasn't had enough time, as a starter, to definitively say that he sucks, but he has not been what I was expecting.....certainly not had the time that Junior has had. Rivers might surprise in a few years. Junior's had a lot of down time since he was thrust in as starting QB.....in NY no less. And he's still standing...there's something (positive) to be said about that....bitchy looking and all.

I wanted to see history made and see the Patriots win. I mean those '72 Dolphins are the biggest whiners out there, and I just hoping that the Patriots would match their record.

That's why I like him. Admittedly I hated him when he was drafted, I thought he was just a little spoiled bitch. But he's proven he can take the pressure, and actually thrive on it. Plus, he doesn't throw those little bitch-fits that Peyton does. You know, where his forehead is all red, veins popping out and he's pouting while throwing his arms. Well, actually I kinda like it, cause it means he's ******* up.

Anyway, this is the third straight year I avoid any sports channel around this time. It's starting to become a habit... (:/)
