This is why the PC version is gonna rule!!

Well done Konami on getting things together and fixing issues.

Fixed so that the settings of "Setting.exe" will be reflected accordingly.
- Fixed the problem of game running too fast in the full screen mode.
- Fixed the problem of the game stopping when switching to "Window mode".
- Fixed the problem of the game stopping when only Spanish is installed, and when trying to change the language sound.
- Fixed the portions of the game stuttering during the match.
- Fixed the problem of changing the player call name, when there is only one language installed.
- Fixed so that the game can be played through the finals in a multi player mode.
- Fixed the shadow effect of the player on the pitch.
- Cleared the line when the game screen fades out (happened rarely)
- Fixed the problem of the schedule becoming incorrect after the 7th week of the 3rd season in the Master League mode.

SI have done that for CM 03/04, I guess they found some problems and recalling every game distributed would take ages, so just release a patch.

a patch on the day of release is a good idea, man

think about it, once the wheels are in motion, the final version of the game (as bought by u on DVD off the shelves) that DVD must have been pressed some weeks ago

and thus any developments they had later than that would have required them to re-make all the discs with the update included, or proceed with the shipping date, and release a patch at the same time to fix the problems

note a lot of the problems may only have been realised wsince the demo came out, opeining the code to many more in effect, test systems, and all konami can do is release the patch, which should at least fix those probs

Great job by Konami. Atleast this shows Konami is serious about this game, and is going to make sure we get the most out of this product. :D

I installed the patch in my system and the game got bad...It runs so soft without the patch  ...
I'm gonna unistall it and install again, without patching... I only have slowdowns in replay but ultra-smooth gameplay!
I'll be waiting for a better patch from KONAMI, this one isn't good.

My Specs:
P4 2.8c
ASUS P4P800
512Mb DDR400 (2x256)
ASUS V9900 FX5800 (128DDR) nVidia official 52.16
WinXP SP1 + all patches

Original PES3 PC DVD

Yeah this is great by Konami. They make a patch that actually works not like EA.

If you browse the forum you'll find that the patch actually made things worse for many people including me. I re-installed without the patch and it's better now.
And now that you brought EA up, FIFA 2004 didn't have any problems with slowdowns, horizontal lines, black screens after intro, fluctuating speeds etc.. and it has online play.
