Sorry for reacting this old thread, but i really want to know this to. Just how to make faces for Fifa 2005, where to begin?

I know that i first need a texture, but where/how
Then make the headshape in O-Edit (where/how)
And al that kind of stuff..

well i could say what you need so you can try yourself to make a face:

you need: oedit, eagraph, fsh-tool, a graphic programm (photoshop, psp, etc... but not windows paint :rolleyes:), a lot of time, patience and pics of the face you want to make, look at google, www.uefa.com (cl-players) www.getty-images.com (sport images) or www.kicker.de (bundesliga-players).


download the facepreview-pack from www.fifa4fans.com -->tools section and then look which original face looks similar to the player you want to make e.g. who has the same hairstyle/headshape/skincolour...

export the files of this player who are located in one of the zdataXX.big -files in the data-folder using eagraph and decompress while exporting.

the files have to be:

player____model60__XXXX_0_0.o (headshape)
playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__XXXX_0_0.fsh (face-texture)
playertexobj.texobj11__texture14__0_XXXX_0.fsh (hair-texture)

XXXX = id of the player

export the textures out of the fsh-files using fsh-tool.
now you can edit these textures with your graphic programm.
Either you draw on the texture or you paste a part of an original pic into the texture. I use the airbrush- and blur-tool very often but tools to adjust the colors of the face (brightness, colors, contrast...) are also very helpful.


Open the .o-file with oedit, so you can edit the headshape with moving polygons.

o-edit tips:
- part000 = headshape, part001=hairshape
- go to texture--> manage textures and load the face/hair-texture
-in the preview window use combinations of moving your mouse+hold mousebuttons+ctrl to zoom or move the head (just try)
-other windows: zoom=ctrl+w/ctrl+q, move=ctrl+mouse
- after loading the texture use textures-->uvmap to map the texture to the right places on the headshape

just try it out, learning by doing is more effective than reading tutorials ;)

I wanna say thanks again but im a newbie and i have no clue where to start with..

I downloaded all the programs..And he said that i had to export ZdataXXX.big, but which Zdata is that? Zdata01? And what am i doing then?

let´s take reyes as an example, his id is 111093, so you have to export these 3 files:

player____model60__111093_0_0.o (headshape)
playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__111093_0_0.fsh (face-texture)
playertexobj.texobj11__texture14__0_111093_0.fsh (hair-texture)

out of the zdata´s, not all face-files are in one zdata so you have to search, maybe they are in zdata01.big, zdata02.big and so on (maybe these 3 files of one player are not in zdataXX, i don´t know if there´s a system behind this or if EA just put them blind into them :crazyboy: )

yes just the same way, you only have to rename the filenames and import them (there are some other threads about importing around here)

Now i have another problem (yes im a problem child).
I want to make a face for Tomas Galasek.
I looked in the list and saw that the player id was 53407.
Then i opened EA Graph.
Then i went to Tools-Find Graphic.
I filled in his ID. I pressed Enter. En it said "Nothing found"(or something in that way.)
I thought "No problem, we have the other ZData's but i filled it in on all ZData's but he found nothing! Do you know why?

i think it´s because he doesn´t have a specific face yet, only a standard/generic ea-face which is assigned to him, which means something like: player____model60__-xx_xx_x.o or playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__-xx_xx_x.fsh
just export a face which looks similar and edit, rename and import it then

Yes, you have to find a player with similar headshape (use Fifa4Fans preview), then export it and when you will finish the face, you have to rename the .fsh files and .o file to for ex. playertexobj.texobj11__texture12__53407_0_0 (53407 is Galásek ID) and pu it to zdata01..
