Yes, another PC gamer finding problems with FIFA 2003.

I start the game, and all the menus, and stuff like that is fine. Works without any problems...but when I start a match, it seems to crash randomly. I've never ever been able to complete a half, as it always crashes.

I have Windows ME, 256 RAM, 1.4 Ghz, NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX, and loads of free hard disk space...

AND I've got Direct X 8.1, and have downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh by the way....I'm running my desktop at 1024x868 with 32 bit colour. Should I set my FIFA settings to this too? And will an alteration in the detail level and resulution be helpful?

maybe...

u could try setting the game resolution to 1024x868 16 bit colour...

i had it at 32 bits but the gameplay became sluggish so i changed back to 16 bits...

i have the exact same specs as you. Fifa runs perfect with no probs. I use 32bit.

Try to download older nvidia drivers because i had crash problems with the new drivers , so i downloaded the older ones much better now. Im not sure that will work but give it a try

Don't use the 40.XX nvidia drivers !!!! It makes the game crash !!!! Use the 30.82 version instead.

Well, I have GF2 mx400
768m Ram
1.2ghz athlon
winxp

I was running det 30.82, but the game did not work AT ALL for me.
I updated to 40.72, and now I can enter the game about 1 try in every 4.
Once i have been through all the setup screens, it still crashed back to desktop.

I have a friend running similar system / gfx card, with 30.82 with no probs, so I am really confused.

Not sure it is a detonator issue or not.
