Note To EA Canada:
1) Hey guys, did it ever occur to you that Brazil and Argentina export a lot of players to Europe (I mean soccer SIMs are your business right? Hello… hello)? So then, why did you FAIL to include Brazilian teams or the two Argentinean teams in the transfer option (career mode)? After all that would make it realistic.
2) And what is it with having only two Argentinean teams… did you need help finding out the names of other well known Argentinean teams? Just ask any Latin speaking person on Earth (you should hire a few for your staff…hint-hint!!!!).
3) Also, for next FIFA, you can loose the fancy but useless menus, you had it right in FIFA 2003; if it isn’t broken don’t try fixing it.

The purpose of this thread is not bash FIFA, in the contrary; it is constructive criticism that makes things better. I am a huge FIFA fan (I’ve proved it buy buying the game 5 years in a row), but I am concern with where the game is going. While many aspects of the game improve, EA ruins other aspects of the game that were done right in previous renditions. Take some of the following for example (they were written by Fear Factory some time back):

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“1- Why there's no National teams tournament?

2- Why there's no editor? (FIFA 2001 have one)

3- Why there's no option for costum tournaments, playoff's...

4- Why there's terrible mistakes in player's status? ( for instance in Portugal national team, portuguese player Fernando Couto has short hair???? Pauleta is number 2???? Maniche is blond??? if there's was an editor, i would change it”

good points, like this forum

south america neglected

(even though i'm australian and we've had our WC place taken by COMNEBOL i still think this)

national teams big disappointment - would be nice to have bigger list, even 30-40 players would make a massive difference

FIFA 2002 was great because of the amount of international teams… Australia was included (even though uniforms were wrong for 40% of the teams). Sorry to hear about Australia and the WC place it lost:(

No way that sucks:f***:
What do you think about this?
When I bought FIFA this year I was excited because they said they would have the Americas Cup. So I figured they would have a tournament like La Copa De Libertadores (the main S. American Club Championship). Instead they have this fake cup that even includes MLS teams (say what???????????????). Where are the rest of the S. American teams? You know, teams from Chile, Peru (I'm Peruvian), Colombia etc...:(

I would have to say the same thing about the Serbs, there is no reason why EA shouldn't include at least Paritzan Belgrade and Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) Belgrade. Most of the major european squads have Serbian players. This is the only thing I want added to next years fifa, more South American and Easter European Clubs and ALL champions league teams (5 CL teams not in the game this year).

One thing alot of people are not aware of is the usual cause for exclusions are the actual teams managment or organisations they did not authorise EA the use of there Team Name, Logo and Player Names and or could not come to an agreement over the issue thats all...not EA's fault, not in my opinion, it's the teams that want big bucks for the use of there team Names that gets them bumped from being included in the game, ....ever wonder why you have to sit and wait for all the team logos to load at startup for FIFA 2004 ?....they paid for that right so you can't hit a button to advance through it...it's bought time like a comercial or advertisement.

Dear EA Canada,

In my opinion, I think they've taken a step backwards in terms of 'game-play'; FIFA 2003 is a more enjoyable game to play. I got sucked into the 'novelty factor' of FIFA 2004 at first- because it's so much different to FIFA 2003 in terms of how the game is played. The murky/dull in-game graphics and menus, are an absolute 'joke'! The computer AI is dire, and even when played online, the game is really predictable and consequently boring. Even though FIFA 2001 was so unrealistic, it was a much more satisfying game to play.

I think there's a pattern: FIFA 2001 (good); FIFA 2002 (abysmal); FIFA 2003 (good); and FIFA 2004 (abysmal). So watchout- FIFA 2005 is going to be grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! ;-)
