i joined the US army reserves and will be gone for 5 months that means no football on TV for me, and i dont think i can live without football either thats why i quit my job and miss night classes and droped my anatomy class so i can play all my games this season because im on 2 different teams so i have to basically go football crazy til its may 18th and i leave. And for these coming up 5 months i guess i will fell what NFL, NBA, MLB fans feel during the end of their season:( :( DAMN IT i will miss the champions league final, the Champions World tour in the USA, EURO cup(eventhough i will save money from not ordering off pay-per-view), World Cup Qualifiers, MLS lol, Stupid Friendly games, EUFA CUP FINAL, the beginning of next league season. And im sure in basic training i will find no one to talk soccer with, PRAY FOR ME PEOPLE!:boohoo: (:/) :S

You moron, don't go. Well, I was a moron too, only that I joined Regular Army and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. Don't go while you still have a choice. What's your MOS? Well, whatever it is, it's not. YOu'll be scrubbing floors and cleaning toilets until the rank of specialist, and by the time you get that rank, you'll have to reenlist for at least another 4 years just to stay in. Plus, all army reserves were just leaving for iraq. My Regular Army unit that I was in just got back 2 weeks ago. Anyway, while you still have a choice, don't enlist. You might feel good about it now, like I did, and they'll keep telling you how everyone will look up to you, but you'll just ruin some of the best year of your life. Just stick to school and soccer and girls and whatever else there is. I was stupid enough to get out of college and stop playing for the team even though MOST of my college was paid for - Just so I could have the WHOLE thng paid off. I was a greedy bastard. If I had to do it all over again, joining any military would be the last thing I'd do. Plus, if you really want it bad, than go with Air Force. Their basic is only 7 weeks and they don't do half the things we did. Where are you going for Basic? The recruiters talk so much ****, just watch. YOu think you're reserve til you're on that plane eating MRE's for a whole year. I'd rethink the whole thing again if I was you, just a perspective from someone who's been in the same shoes.

That sucks to not have any coverage for 5 months....

I didn't have any connections to football for 2 weeks during summer vacation and when I I came back home and got reconnected so many things had already changed :p

To Fort Carlos*son? I don't mean to scare you. I'm just telling you. I had my doubts when I was leaving and when I was supposed to sign the last thing I said I don't think I should do it and I didn't. So they finally convinced me and I shipped out 4 days later. That was on the friday before the final of World Cup 2002. So I got to stay home til Monday and watch the world cup. But yeah, as long as you don't sign the last form, they can't MAKE YOU GO. It's still your choice. So if you have your doubts then I wouldn't do it. Just remember, whatever they say, you don't have to go unless you sign that last piece of paper at MEPS.

Says who? The draft will be re-instated soon if US starts another war (H) they are spread all over the world, wider than a Playboy centerfold.

about the soap thing, my friends always make fun about it with me and i told them its a good thing i play soccer, so if i drop the soap i would just flick it up off the ground with my feet, do some keep ups and a few with my head like ronaldinho lol :rockman: :rockman: i should start practicing lol
