this the first time i'm playing a konami series soccer games..
I tried to look around for teams, but there are only national teams, and under clubs there are hugely unknown teams and famous italian teams..
are there any EPL teams to unlock or something?

They're there, only with the wrong names due to licensing reasons. Get one of the patches that updates all the teams and players name to the correct ones and you'll be sorted.

there's loads of patches and updates lying around (search these forums) and they are dead easy to install. I managed it and i'm dumb as a mule only i smell a bit worse :)
