Mate, I'm really sorry for being such an idiot!!!

I tried installing it, and when it asked me in what folder to out it I chose the UCL folder in my program files, where the database folder is located. Well, the installation went smoothly, but when I tried to enter the game, it went in for a few seconds and then I was redirected back to my desktop. In other words, my game won't work anymore. What do you think about this?

I guess I'll have to uninstall it now...

When I install my update, I just put it into the EA Sports/FIFA 07 folder. The main folder that is. It is the same thing for UCL. There is no need to put it into the cmn folder.

I did not put it into the UCL cmn folder. I just went to Program Files, EA SPORTS, UCL 06-07, and then pressed ok. That's all i did. And it won't work anymore.

However, when I installed it for 07, i didn;t put it inot the 07 folder, the program created its own folder named MyProgram (I think)...

Should I just try again?

I think the reason why UCL crashed is because you used this update, which was made for FIFA07. When installing into FIFA07, select the EA Sports/FIFA07 folder. You must browse for it. If you install it into the MyProgram folder, it will not make any kind of difference.

But if this update was made for FIFA 07, how come you can manage it in the game UCL 06-07?

What did you do to make it work for UCL 06-07?

No worries mate! By this patch, I mean the latest patch, the one that were are talking about in this thread. Even I had to learn all of this! WE2008 was actually only made for FIFA07. I don't have UCL.

Surprise surprise!!

Well the surprise was delayed, but I will say this...

Thank you all for playing the officially released World Evolution 2008 BETA.

The official and final released update will be available exclusive to Sweetpatch.tv and available for UEFA Champs league 06/07.

I hope you like this surprise, since right now thanks to your feedback the gameplay is miles ahead of what you have played.

Let me explain;

Feedback from SSJ explained the mastering behind the beta was because the CPU pushed up the field quickly. This has been fixed and results in less shots both sides. the beta already decreased chances on goal, but no more so than ever because I have tuned area's of play that before increased the attacking ability of both sides of the field, whereas now it's much easier to defend then it is to attack because I have reversed a lot of area's.

Despite the shot mechanic, I have made it harder to aim but easier to keep the shot nice and low on the ground. This looks good when you just miss.

Ball physics were finished, unless there's someone who can find something wrong.

Certain area's of play are very much finished. It was just the CPU that needed the feedback to make this 'surprise' work and shock you all with this complete update.

I know I may have left it late since FIFA 08 is on the way. But trust me guys, unless you absolutely are in love with the FIFA 08-PC demo, this update should keep you interested.

yeah me too ssj4karan NK's updates were always better than the original fifa07 gameplay (in some part of the gameplay but then of course have the weaknesses too in other parts)... no matter what and how NK has improved the gameplay for fifa07 i really feel the fifa08 demo gameplay is the better because when i switch back to fifa07 i can feel that fifa08 can provide something more than fifa07 could. just my individual opinion

NK,My bro played the patch and he found a glitch..Its with the ball physics.The ball got stuck to the player's neck and he was running with it that way.So take care of this in the final version.

And to me. One time I was playing, the ball got stuck on the crossbar and I had to wait for the half to end so that I could continue playing!!

The only thing I dont like with this patch is goals from weak headers at tight angles... my keeper just seems to take to long to get down to stop a ball which is really just at his feet... Apart from that its great...

Well guys i played Fifa 08 and it is awsome..But it is very hard...I could not win a single match in WC difficulty,It either ends 0-0 or i lose 1-0.I now have lowered my difficulty to professional.Lets see how it goes.EA have got it right this time IMO.

That is what I did ,now I play I with the gameplay of the fifa 08 demo in my fifa 07 and it works very well
