well this always comes down to the ball physics in V8, they were better and on the 'right track', but came with problems such as defensive headers that never seemed to lose height! And throw-ins, etc, also some passes looked odd. V9 will correct on the ball physics, as for the beta that was released some weeks ago of V9, the ball physics have changed since then, making the ball move slightly faster and more realistically with some very cool reactions when bouncing and also hitting the post can be different! I'll release a new vid showing off some cool replays.

Headers won't be 'impossible' like in V8, scoring with one will be harder.

Just to give some feedbacks of the gameplay...NK, since your gameplay is so popular, dont you have any beta testers, just like Okham's CEP, to test the gameplay of the upcoming version before releasing it?...I'm really tired of waiting for about 1 or 2 months for any bugs to be fixed like ball physics. Why release so many versions of your gameplay when you cant even get a proper version. If this goes on, bet my word, there will still complains about version 9.

i really hope v9 is out soon, because i just cant take these keepers any more. just played as italy v. faroe islands, had 25 shots and still drew 0-0. almost everything else with the patch is great its just plain too hard to score. i have never seen more than 2 goals in a game since i started using v8 about 50-70 games ago

anyway heres to V9! cant wait

Oh no worries pfk505, V9 offers much more range on shooting, you can score far out and all sorts, but the keeper is much better than say in V7. Plus it depends which level you install 1,2 or 3. 1 will be the most played I think, because it's easier to score, 2 is slightly harder and 3 is still possible but VERY VERY difficult, almost as much as v8, but better range on shots, etc so it's just 'playable'. Plus the CPU is about 10x better at attacking now than in V8.

That sounds great man.. One thing i really like even about V8 is that you can score from far out (I've scored a few amazing goals, including a couple free kick goals) however its just the frequency of goals (or lack thereof) that is getting to me, and the superhuman keepers (on both sides)

let me reitterate though that it is by far the best gameplay i've ever used.. and i cant wait for the next :)

i hit an absolute screamer today, one of the best with this gameplay so far i think.
about 40 yards out, i hit it and it went into the top corner after clipping the post....MAGIC! :)

wow! sounds great man did you have a replay that u could record on FRAPS or anything? V9 is certainly more playable than V8, but still challenging. If you're scoring goals from 40yrs out on V8, then perhaps level 3 of V9 will do the trick for you? Although I warn you it's quite difficult on level 1 :)

Yes, V8 does allow some screamers...you can score some great looking goals, but yeah I understand that the keeper is pretty 'quick' on some of the most powerful shots from close-range. He'll still have a good chance of saving them in V9, but shots closer up will cause much more trouble for the goalkeeper!

the thing i dislike about v8 is that the keeper recovers way way WAY too quickly there are certain times that i watched the replay and payed special attention the the keeper's movement, after a cracking shot is palmed again and he fell onto the ground and trying to get back up, but the ball is already flying back, he is suddenly in position again and saved the follow up shot comfortably. well thats one


another thing is that i realize that players who play fifa 06 on ps has a serious advantage over the way they can score goals, using keyboard we can only position our players to shoot straight or coming in from left wing then aim the keeper's far post.
the point is if our player is coming in from the middle of the pitch, unless we go very close and do a tap in, it is not possible to pick from shooting the keepers right or left hand post when the keeper is in the middle, i've tried pressing (down+foward) or (up+foward) but the player will only shoots really really wide. So yea.. smthg sad about keyboard users :nape:

another is that the blue zone doesnt seem to be the best place for a shot power already, i just dont understand why. Cuz til now i have none long range shot in world class and its kinda sad cuz i've already gave up on it with such imbalance gk but i can still beat AC Milan with AS Roma 3-1 simply using tap ins :) . The CPU defence is tight but the lob thru ball (Q+W) still does its trick on the defenders :amika:

Goalkeepers are no way near as fast at recovering, they can do some amazing saves and yes, even sometimes save 2 shots, one after the other....but more than likely if you smack it on target after his first save, he'll try and save it, but it'll go in. But there's more variation than that anyway.

Through-balls are harder to get away with, the game is tighter...less space in defence.

As for using keyboard, V9 will have many more options than my past updates ;)

i haven't tried the NK8 yet because i'm have a problem with the game being crashes (with i have posted in another thread) but i hope that it made the game more difficult because the NK7 madw it easyer for me though it madw it more fun to play.

but as NK allready said to some one else here, i guess the game engine is to weak for me and i'll have to wait to FIFA 07
