Yeah, V8 is brilliant. It's amazing what you've done with the 06 engine. I wouldn't of thought it possible.

One more thing, keepers still seem unbalanced. The CPU keeper is much better than the user one.

I think I will make both keepers really good so matches are tight and exciting, rather than both keepers easy to beat so score lines are stupidly high and predictable.

well, the gk definitely needs tuning, either improving the players keeper or make the CPU keeper more realistic, he's making way too many unrealistic saves, especially 1v1

the turf probably could be made less 'hard' so the ball prob wont bounce as much, bouncing is nice, i just think its overdone a bit

and last thing i dont know if u can work on this nk
but about the touching and turning defenders

the distance which the ball roll under sprint (holding down E key) or no sprint (just running no pressing E) is the same, imo the ball should roll further when the player is holding the E key and not so much when the player isnt.. just my 2 cents...cuz when i do the touch and turn without sprint, even im on the correct side, the ball still get touched too far away and dispossesed :(

The keepers for the user team are much better now, they make great saves like the CPU and because the CPU reads your USER keeper as 'good', or 'better', basically knowing that it is of a higher value, the CPU tries harder to score down to the intensity values. Basically, it takes more shots to trouble your keeper = CPU attacks more. Plus other variables come into play for this, but this is just the way the game code is read. In this V9 beta I am testing I've seen the computer try attacks that have quite good variation.

I will lower the skills of teams playing on Amateur and Semi-pro to make it more playable and realistic so those who find the game too difficult on WC/LG will be able to play a good game on a lower level. I want all difficulty levels to be playable.

And yes Truered99, it is practice. You can have as many shots at goal as you want, but you've got to be good. It's not about how many shots you have, but the quality of the shot. I have scored a wonderful far out scorcher with Beckham that curled around the world class keeper with a goalkeeper skill of 300!!! That is pretty damn high and yet the ball went straight in. I have hit the post a few times too, beating the keeper. It's all about practice. But no worries for your user keeper is now balanced with the CPU, both values are the same. Plus it's harder to keep a shot down and beat the defence.

Suggestions

-Increase pass speed

-You need to increase the distance/speed/power whatever you want to call it, of punts and goal kicks. As of now they don't even reach the edge of the center circle

-I don't know if this is for everyone, but whenever the CPU takes a corner, it always gets intercepted by my player on the edge of the box nearest to the corner

-User goal keeper skill needs to be increased.

-As of now, I've only won about 5 headers from 7 games. 2 have been in the opponents box, and the other 3 have been at midfield.

Goalkeeper clearances are much, MUCH more realistic now. The weight on the ball is noticable too, which looks nice.

CPU will be better at corner kicks. More accuracy and aggression for winning the ball!

Goalkeepers, as I have said are equal now, just like V7.

Passing will be improved as always. It'll still be difficult to build up, not every pass will reach the desired player.

Headers are challenging, too many goals scored by headers before and now they are rare! In fact, games are very tight when it comes to score lines.

V9 will be a much more tuned and improved gameplay update.
The update isn't aimed at those who have altered any graphics such as player attributes, pitch width/length, etc.

I may have just fixed a problem which was in past updates to do with penalty kicks. It's where the keeper saves the shot, then the ball goes in (goal), but the game still counts it as a save. I have been in situation mode over and over and so far this problem hasn't come back up again after tuning the penalties.

I will tell you now that taking a penalty will be harder than ever before. Keepers are better at saving them and directing the penalty is more difficult.

I've played too many matches with your update and now I'm in the position to say that v.8 has THE BEST ball physics! :rockman:
But headers are not too good... I mean that it's no fair that CPU can make a goal with the head very easy and you can't...This is not the best thing! :nape:
Now the gamestyle of CPU defence is very good!!! But I think that keepers have much more high skill level than it has to have.

Ball physics in V9 have improved yet again. It's harder to keep a shot down.

Here's a tip to score a header; User left trigger + Cross, then quickly tap shot button so power-bar is low. You need to get it right and you can keep the header down, much lower. Otherwise simply just running around and hoping for the best, taking it for granted will get you no where and headers will go over the bar and wide.

The CPU in V9 won't score from headers easily at all & the defence is even tighter!!

well, if theres a tip to keep the ball down, there certainly is one during a 1v1 with keeper that i think i've find out, just a simple change in direction before u tap in can best most keepers and thats wad got me this weird score

this is professional difficulty at 8 minutes per half.. u probably wouldnt believe your eyes NK but i just pulled that off after playing many games

heres a suggestion i want to add for the next version

yea, the defence of the CPU is tighter and they close down on you faster, but i've easily exploited this by slowed running and nice passing, they close down so fast, they often leave my other striker free, hmm..

imho, there should be more variation in game play, but i hope to see more variation in the CPUs defence style, so far i've been to a couple of leagues and has different core formation and all they do in defence is staying a solid line and trying to catch your striker off side, im not saying im annoyed with my striker being caught but, shouldnt cpu is worked so that they use different defensive style ? like pressing (fast closing down), contain or like zonal defence..

You should record a game dude! Although that was in pro mode and not world class or legendary, the score is still pretty crackers!! I will work on the defending (that of which I have done) and try balance out the issue with the so called 'easy low shots'. I'm not sure if these types of shot will go in on world class so often though. Or on target for that matter.

I will increase the difficulty of professional level slightly so that the game will be shifted closer to world class so it's not such of a huge 'leap'.
