The beta's I have released and the final product should not crash your game, nor affect the player faces or graphics of the game. Any update that does so, which is indeed trying to affect gameplay is not correct and shouldn't be installed.

Other alterations:

-CPU has to attach much more and to make endorser the ball from the defence
-you do in manner that just it is touched the ball is difficult to monitor
-the ball have to be more weighing and to be in air much more

NK, I made a few tiny changes to your gameplay and I feel it is more rewarding. First off, I saw that you had the CPU goalie at 125. :nape:

I know you're trying to make the game harder, but this is not really the way to do it. We need a tighter defense that makes it harder to get a shot off, not super goalies that save everything.

I lowered the CPU goalie to 85 and raised Human goalie to 85 and I'm having a satisfying experience. I also raised both the CPU Intercept Skill and Player Intercept Skill both to 3, which I find increase their pace when going for a 50/50 ball. :)

Otherwise, excellent update. I'd gone off Fifa but came back for your gameplay and it's very rewarding. Right now I'm in the middle of a 0-0 extra time game between Germany and Portugal. Neither side has gotten many shots off which shows that if you keep at it there won't be a need for super goalies. :)

Don't assume that just because a parameter exists in one of the INI files that it is actually used by the game. None of the INAIR_ or STATIC_JOSTLE_ parameter names appear anywhere in the .EXE, so it is pretty certain that they are no longer used (if they ever were)

I've been using the patch on the xbox and everything has been fine. I've now tried to update it and the game freezes. i tried to load back the original but it still doesn't work.

I've tried to open the ini.big file with biggui but nothing is showing in the program. I tried with the version 1 patch and this works fine in biggui and can be easily edited.

Has anyone managed to get the ini.big version loaded in biggui or is there a problem with the file ?

I don't know what to do now as i've downloaded a few times and have the same problem.

Yes you are right, there are reasons why the game isn't balanced yet in the beta's released. Once the update is near release of the 1st version, it will be far more balanced.

Though you've kinda shot the beta in the foot by editing it haha. Just leave it to me, I am well aware of the balancing required between user and cpu, especially after the feedback in FIFA 06. :jap:

By the way, the CPU doesn't take a shot-off at goal the same as you would with a game-pad. This is also one of the reasons why EA themselves never have the CPU and USER keeper set to the same value, because at the end of the day, if both keepers are set to 85, I guarantee the one side of the game that will be scoring most of the goals will be you, and the cpu will struggle. A balanced update doesn’t necessarily mean the same values for both you and cpu. I don’t think anyone here is wanting an update where each match feels like they’ve won every time. :jap:

I agreee on the GKs NK. This is not a game where I want to win easily or score lots of goals without deserving it. Keep the GK ratings high in my opinion. Balance them later.

I just played a cracker of a game last night, in which I won 5-4
Yeovil (me) vs Bournemouth (Pretty much in the cellar). It started
out a rout 3-0 in the first 15 minutes with Yeovil playing brightly
while Bournemouth looked like a team heading for relegation. In fact one of my goals was amazing. The AI GK tried to throw the ball out
and I swear to you the ball slipped out of his hands (you know what I mean when trying to trhow and it slips?) and it bounced to one of my forwards who had a ridiculously easy tap in from 3 meters in front of the GK to essnetially an open net. The GK tried to save but it was hopeless.

Anyway, the AI came back 3-1, then it was 4-1, but the pressure from the AI was intense. It was 4-3 by halftime. I managed to take the lead 5-3 before a scary last 1/4 of the match in which my defense got caught in 6's and 7's and a GK bungle led to an easy tap in for 5-4. But I lasted till the final whistle but had to foul, kick and scratch to stop the AI.

If you can capture this kind of feel then things are definitely moving in the right direction!

I'm not saying make it so you score with every shot. I feel in the 80-90 range is a good place to be. Anything over is just too hard. You'll probably end up scoring the same amount of goals, but what do you prefer, a Wayne Rooney shot from the 18 that hits the top corner, or that same shot parried by the keeper and Saha with the tap in?

I really hate scoring from tap ins every time. I think the goal of your gameplay, as far as the CPU defence goes, should be making the defence tighter and harder to get a shot off, but if you do get a killer off it shouldn't be parried and then the tap in.

I disagree that this happens all the time. Even with GKs set high, I dont get that many tap ins. And on my side, I
am happy that the AI isnt scoring ridiculous goals all the
time. The point of the update is realism. I dont want the AI
scoring a goal from the 18 when my defense has left no space to shoot. But it happens, and I cant stand it. My GK should make the save but doesnt.

I am sure there will be limitations to just how tight the
defense or how fast they can close down will be. This was
the case in 06. It remains to be seen what these
limitations will be in 07.

Can anyone open the 2.0 beta file to eidt ? I can open the config file with biggui but not the ai.big file. I could open the 1.0 beta files though. Can someone test this for me as the 2.0 files are stopping the files loading for me.
