i'm newcastle united manager. i am currently in all competitions. into november. trying to push on for top 4 spot. i am currently struggling. the team i play is

any tips for how to push on for a top 4 spot.

Does Martins score a lot of goals for you? As he wasnt for me but when i started playing him on his own upfront he was scoring a lot of goals for me but doing this would mean playin 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 if you are desprate could be worth trying.

I've always like coupling one striker with 2 or three AM's, plus an MC behind them to move things along, works wonders, but the striker has to be able to do things on his own, and finish very well.

im using newcastle united too and im into my second season. sibierski and martins are doing increidbly well. im scoring a lot of goals but conceding a lot too. i was just wondering what i could do about half my team oftenly suggesting that i "Dont give the team enough credit"? what do i do? THANKS!

newcastle has a very good squad to begin with.

play a flat 442, utilize wing play from milner, nzogbia, solano or dyer.

configure tactics for every single player. set it to their abilities.

e.g. if Babayaro can't dribble and attack and tends to lose the ball, put him on defensive, low creativity, no forward runs and run with ball.

If your back 4 is losing goals, set the full-backs to the configuration I mentioned above.

in team settings, set your centre backs to be stand a little further back.

maximize your every chance for set plays. for corners, position the guy who can score long shots outside of the area, centre-backs in the box, full-backs defending at the back, one striker challenging the goalkeeper.
Basic stuff.

that is if your full-backs are good enough to support attacking play. they need decent dribbling, passing, concentration and positioning stats.

if the full-backs are good enough, I set mentality to normal, creative freedom to normal, forwards and run with ball with mixed + crossing.

Salano (INSTEAD OF MILNER ) , Butt ( INSTEAD OF N'ZOGBIA) , Paker , Dyer.

Owen ( INSTEAD OF ROSSI ) Martins.

That Would Be My Suggestion's Hopefully You Will Start Scoring And Winning And Win A Few Trophy's
