hey everyone i just got CM 01/02 and im a little confused as to how to find a good tactic - whenever I play the opposition always has lots of the ball and I can never seem to keep it for very long...I also have a very poor defence. Im playing as Rushden and Diamonds...

And general tips/tactics would be appreciated...

And how do i search out good cheap players?

on the player search, use the filter, and select some stats, then click on age on the actual player search screen, and look at the bottom. Did that make any sense??

Click both links in my signature.

Download them into your tactics folder Championship Manager 01-02/tactics

On the tactics screen in CM, just click load>tactic

For Rushden and Diamonds you should broswse the Free Transfers for players like Joao Paiva

I wouldn't advise playing your first game with Rusden and Diamonds. I would try something a bit easier (but still satisfying) such as Millwall to start with.

You gotta look for players who are willing to join someone like Rushden.
Some lower players that are good like Jamie Pollock or Justin Walker

yeh true u could loan out like div 2 players maybe they might come and there are some non league gems aswell

thanks a lot guys I'm still having huge problems with my defence and actually keeping the ball...the other team mostly score within about 2-5 mins of the match starting.

Just because of Farnborough had a good cup run, does not reflect they are good in real life. In real life, they are lying 12th in the conference, the manager and chairman quit because they said the club had no future.

If you are looking for decent teams, try Barnet, Yeovil, or Doncaster.

Yes I know, Graham Westley. He lives about 20 minutes away from me, Farnborough is about 20 minutes too. I support Woking though. Much better. Got into the FA cup 5th round v Everton about 6 seasons back, held them to a 1-1 draw, then in the replay lost 1-0. Meh.

My home tome is Molesey. They are something like the Ryman. Played for their team, had trials with Fulham but I ****ed up and broke me leg. Played 2 more years for Molesey, but I was chucked out by the manager for drug abuse.

Molesey football stadium, That is where "Bend it like Beckham" was filmed. My area is horrible, Milly Dowler and Sarah Payne used to live a single mile away from me. One of my mates was stabbed to death too. He was only 17, not very nice.
