Been playing for a few weeks and came across a few strange things. First off if I put the commentary on full volume and the crowd/special effects on the lowest the crowd seems quiet until something happens like a goal or corner and suddenly it gets very loud, and I mean very loud to the point it bleeds over any commentary there is. Sometimes I play late at night so turn it down so as not to wake the other half and this happens and wakes her up. I'll have to get some headphones I think!
The commentary is a bit odd sometimes although it seems to be with each different year. Player takes a shot, the keeper grabs it easily, runs to the edge of the box to kick the ball out and Motty shouts " he's turned it over". Hmm about time they sorted that one out, seem to remember 2003 doing that too! It seems now that a foot in tackle can get pulled for a foul too! Great except that a couple of times I've done a step in tackle, got the ball and GOT SENT OFF for a first offence, the tackle being well away from the goal too, so not a last ditch, last defender job. This happened about 30seconds into a match so really screwed it up. Also I can't seem to get any longer than 10 minutes a half...! Is this all I can do??
I play on the ps2 and despite these strange faults I enjoy the game. I miss not being able to save replays as I could with 2003 on the PC but accept this as a ps2 failing. I just wonder if the makers of these games actually look at forums like these and take any notice of what is said and think to resolve problems in the next incarnation of the game.... I think not!!
