new to WE series... need help!!

** i just recieved my WE6 2 days ago and its is my first time playing a WE/PES series game and i must say it is a great game compared to the Fifa series which i followed ever since its days on the sega genesis platform... the only downside to WE6 is the lack of domestic leagues and real player names and clubs....
i wanted to find out how i could upgrade the game or use patchs because i heard of them being used on these forums but dont know how to do it.... and also what patches i should use....
if anyone could help me out that would be great!!!

Fifa sucks monkey pole, even if WE had all fake names (my version has ALL REAL names and clubs, logos, flags and faces, MILES AHEAD OF ANY FIFA) it still doesn't compare to FIFA....doesn't EA's hideous game have N0. 1 , No. 2 etc. for Netherlands players? Doesn't Mark Viduka have long blonde hair in FIFA?

I purchased the game and its really cool. Only thing is that I don't have enough time, to really put time in to learning how to use all the diverse control options. I tried already!
But I really enjoy playing on the manager setting, where the computer does all the playing and I just plot the formations, strategies and marking styles. I guess its like being a coach! Unfortunately, the manager feature is only usable in exhibition mode only. Unless, someone know otherwise. It would be cool if in future editions, you could use the manager setting in cups, seasons or the Master League.
