I can't remember who it was now questioning the logo on the left side of the new Real Madrid shirt but they were right all along, it wasn't the clubs original emblem as I first though it is this monogram that adidas cooked up to celebrate the history of the Bernabeu...

Their is a video about it on FootballShirtCulture.com The monogram displays Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the centre, with the roof structure of the stadium around it, and 1947 for the stadium's construction. Nice little touch, but all nonsense at the end of the day.
