This is the new Real Madrid home kit for the 08/09 season. Leaked pictures of the home and away adidas shirts are on the web for a while now, But Real Madrid will unveil next season's kit during their title celebration ceremony at the Santiago Bernabéu on 18 May.

The new home kit includes a collared shirt with black trim, while the away shirt is a cobalt blue with white trim. Both include adidas' revolutionary ClimaCool® with flow mapping technology which enhances player performance by keeping the body at optimal temperature.

The kit has been anatomically designed in order to optimize the fit and comfort of each player and includes 3-D engineered patterns allowing ultimate player performance through increased ventilation and moisture management.

Adidas needs new ideas. The Real shirt is nice, a classic white shirt.
It's not necessary to make a Real home shirt in green-red-yellow-blue-brown,
but the last few years adidas only changes the length of the stripes and the collar.

There is nothing special. They need creative ideas, like the Lycra shirts of Kappa or the Cameroun shirts a few years ago. The puma shirts for 08/09 are boring, but at least it's a new kind of football shirt with this new material.

Portsmouth's Home 08/09...

Is it not a tad pretentious to get carried away with the gold like that? They could yet lose to Cardiff...The new away is top bombing, mind. Disagree with Ultra-Blue about the differences from this year's kit, I see plenty.

They tried non-traditional this year with the purple, and look how that turned out. Real's kits historically have been, and should continue to be, simple and classy. The more they try to add details, the worse it looks on a Madrid kit.

It should be simple and classy, I know. As I wrote, it's not necessary that the Real home short is green-brown-red-yellow. A shirt can be simple and classy with a new material also. The new Puma shirt of Italy is simple and classy, also the Kappa kit of Italy was simple and classy. Puma and Kappa used new materials for these shirts. But adidas is always the same sh*t. They are not creative.

LOL, can't believe Marseille will be playing in that! Should have been left in the 90s.

And they will wear it today against Strasbourg for the last game of the season, in the Velodrome, Marseille.
But I totally agree, it looks awful ...

Seeing it on the players, I'd actually give this a shout for kit of the year. Looks pretty spectacular. Still reminds me of a golf top, mind.

Golf design... Well.. Why not? Strange idea. Football = Fashion

That's just the away kit, wait and see for the home one.
