it all depends on how clubs price there kits in there own stores clubs like Manchester untied, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal (last 3 years being exception due to circumstancial reasons) usually Charge above £34.99 in there official clubs stores this means they are only allowed to change every 2 years duew to the increase in price

whereas other clubs such as Middlesbrough and championship and league 1& 2 clubs
usually charge around £29.99 for shirts so are allowed to change every season

Oh right, I thought it was an FA Premiership rule that covered all the clubs. Errea makes Aldershot Town's kit too - and they change every season (and cost £40) mind you I suppose at least Aldershot genuinely needs the money to survive. In case anyone has never heard of Aldershot - they are a Nationwide Conference team (fith tier of English football) formed in 1992 from the wreckage of the former Division 4 team (League 2 in new money) folded in 1990 (bankrupt) And they happen to be my hometown club.
(hence my fixation with them :) )
