Yeh, that struck me too. 3/4 of all posters here worries about anything but gameplay. Kits, crowds, faces, music etc crap. No wonder EA isn't doing much to improve gameplay.
Shape is nothing without good content.

Their main focus this year seems to be on gameplay. Believe it or not the first touch is to do with gameplay, and from all reports it seems a promising addition.

Kits, faces, music etc. is always in FIFA so that's not new.

I hope your're right, though watching these vids does not make me optimistic. I mean, do you really think that it will play so much different than it looks in these videos. And IMHO it looks quite bad.
And yes, Figo still runs and dribbles the same way and pace as Henry does. This fact alone is a good reason to stick with pes once again.

the videos look bad because the people playing completely suck at the game... they are just trying to go end to end as fast as they can... but the animations of the players controlling the ball seem much more fluid.. it still had very old kits.. so it must be quite an old build of the game anyway.. the only way to tell is when they release the demo.

Well last year they had the "off the ball control", that was gameplay too... but it wasn't all that good.

My question about the kits wasn't meant to be my only "worry" about FIFA 2005. I also think that gameplay is one of the most important features that EA should focus on to make a successful game, but I just wanted to make sure that the graphics would be updated to make the game more current and enjoyable. ;) (H)

Well I be playing it on Friday so I'll be able to let you know if it plays better than it looks.

To me, when I saw the FIFA 2004 videos I thought they looked really good. But when I came to play it I thought it wasn't as good as the videos made it out to be. I think first touch could be the key here.
