Creation Centre 1.5 Features Announced
Last month we brought you the terrific news about an update that was being created for the FIFA 2003 Creation Centre. As we explained, the man behind the famous FEd FIFA editors, Chau Le, had been placed in charge of creating the important update FIFA fans had been crying out for for months.

The good news is that version 1.5 of the Creation Centre is now in its final stages of development and being beta tested as I type. Here is the list of the major updates and fixes you can expect from the Creation Centre update:
Up to 10 chants can be assigned to any team

Players numbers can be assigned and changed

Goalkeeper kits can be assigned to any team

Added Formation screen where preset formation can be selected players can be drag-and-dropped into positions [SCREENSHOT]

Added Kick Takers screen where players can be assigned of captaincy and kicking duties

Added Miscellaneous screen where most of the team settings can be modified * Very Intersting * [SCREENSHOT]

Removed the limitation of 32 bit colours

Added the option to have a number of new generic players created when creating a new team

Removed the limitations on the number of competitions/teams/players

Support packages created in any language

Support for Brazilian Portuguese language

Other improvements:

Double click on a team in Team Roster on Competition screen to bring up Team screen

Double click on a player in Player Roster on Team Info screen to bring up Player screen
With things going smoothly, Chau has reported that we are still on track for a late April release of the update. We will be announcing the exact release date next week. As long as you have already downloaded the original Creation Centre, the update will be only 500 kb is size.

EA SPORTS and Chau would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Creation Centre Update topic in the Soccer Gaming Forums.

I think this is the best fcdb editor!

How big is YOUR penis?
Well, the updated CC still deletes saved games and settings. And ecpdbi don`t, so I guess I`ll stick with ecpdbi.

I have 2 agree with u Hans... no matter how good Chau makes Creation Center, if it still deletes saved games and settings then it is a wasted effort because that is definately the number 1 bug.... perhaps for the next release he should look into how ECPFCDB did it then he should try to use the same concept.....

I think Chau didn't make it better cause of EA's pressure. A good program should edit .dbi and bot Access forms i think. But let's see how Chau made it... :D

The new CC, as far as I know it won't be a .dbi editor. Instead it would be a dbi creator. If Chau simply bases the concepts of the old CC (highly likely), the CC would simply edit the .mdb file. Then it takes the mdb file to generate new .dbi files. I have considered this concept in making ECP DBI, but decided not to, since it takes too much time to convert a whole database. And it is really a waste of time, when you have only changed one thing. But there are also advantages of doing it this way. (Access editing)

But I am looking forward to the new CC, since it might have me understand some unknown bytes in the dbi files (but those might just be unused). Also, it might give me more ideas in the future.

Anyway, very interesting....*off to fifa2003.com*

What's your point?:kader:

If you edit the dbi's with the ECP editor, start a competition and then decide to further edit the dbi's you will be in the exact same position as you would be if you created a pkg with the CC, started a competition and then decided to make further changes to the pkg (without re-installing).

The changes you make to the dbi's with ECP editor are not updated to your fifa03.sav file (or whatever they call it) and, basically, you will "lose" your saved games because they will not reflect the changes that you hoped they would.

If you don't want to "lose" your saved games, copy the folder that contains the settings, replays etc. and then paste it back after you make your changes.

It seems to work the same way whether you are modifying the dbi's you edited with ECP or modifying pkg's you made with the CC.

if u copy the files back, it says invaild format
and if the changes dont happen in a saved game, at least you still hav them to play.

What u say in ur first paragraph makes no sense... :kader:
If I edit FIFA with ECP sure the changes won't be in the competition I'm playing, but atleast I will be able to continue playing in that competition. Also destroying the saved games files deletes the unlocked stadiums which is a real drag to try to get all over again. So ur ideas are not fool proof....

I think EA had the chance to do something for us, but it didn't work out and it still won't work out this time. I believe in the qualities of Chau Le, a person which I admire for all his work and I think it's great that he's done the work..

The thing is that ECP DBI is very usefull and CC doesn't give any significant extra's. Losing savegames is pure crap of course...

Basically I believe that EA got their chance, they didn't took that chance and the only object for them is to release in time an editor for FIFA 2004...so that all the other editors then are useless.

I'm just thinking what next month will look like.... what will be the standard? I'm voting for ECP DBI..

Which is the same as all the other Fifa's with the built in editors however you did not lose your saved game, just no changes where added. I will wait and see what Chau Le CC does, however I will back up my FIFA 2003 first.;)
