What happenned to you guys working together so many weeks ago?


At any rate, NK V6 beta2 with Ockhams significant mods is by far the best gameplay I have ever tried. The ball physics need a little tweaking but I have found it the best.

I have just finsihed my first career season and my beloved Manchester United didn't bring home a single trophy. I was knocked out early in the FA Cup and the Carling Cup by Leeds United and Leyton Orient respectively. I finished 4th in the EPL, 13 points behind champions Liverpool :nape:

My biggest success was making it to the Semi-final of the Champions League, where I was ousted 1-0 on aggregate when Adriano scored in the 84th minute in the 2nd leg at Old trafford, sealing my fate with the away goal.

On the bright side Wayne Rooney led all scorers with 27 goals.

This gameplay is hard and exciting, what a gameplay should be. No BS, no fanfare, just good tweaking, especially by Ockham, whose default.ini settings really contributed greatly I believe to a smarter, more effective CPU.

I tried your gameplay Biggy(2.9) this morning but I found it way too easy. I killed Lille in the first leg of the Champions league Quarterfinal 7-0. Restoring the NK/Ock gameplay I lost the return leg 1-0 but of course advanced.

I like your work Biggy, especially CPU players' acceleration. It's realistic and it gives a major change to the game.
A gameplay will never be as difficult as it has to be because we become better players after each game.
I wish you good luck for your future updates.

I installed with the intensity that came with 2.9.

I like that in NK's Beta V6 (ock) that headers aren't as automatic. I can score freely when every header is dead accurate.

By the way Dave, you said that NK-OckHAM's beta version is harder. Man, don't you think that the game will become unrealistic if it became so hard? (I want you to attach a screen shot of the result of any game you are playing, if you don't mind).

hey sa33ood i made a world cup patch but i need to install the intensity file and so far all i have done is wrong. i dont even know wat file master is can u help?
also i want to change the icon of my installer. i use the sfx archive from win-rar not a real installer.
which one do u use? is it free? - link?

I have a little question. Before I installed your gameplay, I was using CEP ones (NK v3) and the CPU made substitutions during games (when it was in difficulty for example). Now it appears that the CPU makes no more subs... does it come from your gameplay settings ???

Nah, it actually becomes far more realistic when its that hard. There aren't too many games between good teams where teams score 4 or 5 goals, its usually three or under (in real life that is), and that is how it is with NK/Ock patch.

My results against the EPL's best sides were....

Two 1-0 losses to Liverpool, A 1-1 draw and 1-0 victory against Chelsea, two 1-1 draws against Arsenal, a 2-1 loss and 1-0 win against Tottenham.

My biggest explosion was a six goal spanking of some minnow team in the Champions league qualifying (with NK/Ock patch). I smeared Lille an easy 7-0 with your patch. Then with NK/Ock back in , lost 1-0 at home to Lille in the return leg.


I'll attach a screen shot of my next match.

It also depends on the half-time duration. If you play 2 or 4 minutes, you'll score less goals than in 8 min.

To Biggy : ok thanks, I'll check it with more attention but I haven't noticed one sub yet

Everyone seems to be measuring the quality of these gameplay patches by how difficult they make the game. I can certainly understand this viewpoint from the perspective of a 24 hours a day hardened game fanatic, but for the MAJORITY of FIFA gamers out there we measure the quality of the patch by how exciting the game is to play. i.e we expect a right pummeling when playing as Lillestrom versus Man Utd but also expect that more evenly matched sides will provide us with a reasonable chance of scoring, defending and winning. It's probably impossible to design a patch that meets everyone's requirements but franky I'm pretty tired of correspondant's whining about how they walloped Real Madrid 9-0 while playing as the Mbuti People of Zaire's reserves on legendary setting and just how easy the latest version is etc. The designers (whose work I greatly admire) appear to be playing into the hands of these types of gamers. Just my tuppenceworth.

Pegasus, I'm very sure that (at least with me) the CPU subs once or twice every 1 or 2 games... Anyways I think that I figured out why the CPU (for you) doesn't do substations. I'll fix it for the next update. :)

ExittheLemming, I totally agree with what've you said, and I'm very confused on how some members judge a game play on how hard it is, but having said that I believe that sometimes a CPU's strictness can extremely change the feeling of the game play experience, as in making it more realistic. All in all, I'm blaming the EA cooperation for not looking carefully into this manner; us modifiers can not do anything more than modify the game, in other words non of our patch/modifications or file suggestions is considered a solution, the real deal rests in the hand of the EA Sports game developing team. It seems that they need a couple of them PES developers to work with them and help in balancing the game instead of it being another EA graphical fanatic!

I wanna try em both, and see which I like better. I think NK's might be too difficult for me. Thx for link though.

Just one question : in this Gameplay Update, CPU can change their formation... for example: from 4-4-2 to 3-4-3... (C)
