:( I am at a loss here. I am torn between two sony mini-disk players. The blue one, which costs about 174.99 or the sports one which is about 145.99! The obvious sweet thing about the sports one is that it is water proof and impact proof, hence making it perfect for those occasional times I want to work out and listen to some tunes! it also has digital megabass, is this a good thing btw?
The blue one doesn't BUT it includes radio and TV audio stations, rechargeable battery, controller via headphones and some extra software for music maintainence. For you all who like to occassionally work out and love to listen to tunes, what would you suggest. Any good advice would GREATLY be appreciated lads! hope some of you can help!

Definitely the blue one.

I would never buy a portable music player without a remote control. It's just so convinient. It's not like you're gonna throw it against the wall, so it doesn't really matter if you have the protection. Even if you drop it, minidisks are small, so I don't think you could break it. If you jog, you can fit it in your pocket no problem. If you're working out on the bench, just put it on the ground, the headphone cord should be long enough.

I have a CD Player without the impact proof case thing... I always listen to it during class, but since we're not allowed to I usually put it under my shirt... so then every time I get up... yep, I forget about it, and it hits the ground :crazyboy: It's happened to me lots of times, but it still works no probs...

Actually... getting a CD player could be a better idea anyway. How many songs can you fit on a disk? 50? I got a CD player that plays MP3 CD's, it's sweet... I can have around 180 songs on one CD :mrpimp: It's great and saves you more than $100. The only downside to a cd player is that it's bigger than a minidisk, but they're actually lighter than minidisks and fit in your pocket as well.

This is great advice so far guys, if many more people can chip in, that would be even better. Now leaning even more towards the blue one...! Thanks BIG TIME!!

I agree, I have a sony mp3 player and it rules, you can fit hundreds of mp3s into a single CD (I haave 250 punk songs in one CD) :D .The batteries last long too and it has an awesome anti-shock system :)

I don't know what to get, a baulky cd mp3 player or a compact and pocket size md player. I would have to go towards an MD at the moment.

This is my only beef with the CD player since I definitely like to go running every so often, so carrying around the CD player might be quite the hassle!! I looked at the CD MP3 player though by sony, basically had eveything like the blue net MD player except for the controller via the headphones. Still not absolutely sure though, I think the radio tuner is a good plus though. hrmm...
