That's comedy gold right there.

Just got back from the Bobcats vs. Sixers game. It's so sad how teams play ABSOLUTELY no defense down the stretch of the season. The Sixers actually started to midway through the 3rd quarter and our 23 point lead was gone in a blink but we somehow pulled it off at the end. Might not help us in the lottery but I could care less, I want my team to win.

Sam Vincent.... don't even get me started.

BTW a nice little stat, Jason Richardson finished the season with 243 three pointers made, 4th most ever in an NBA season (he did it shooting 41% from beyond the arc too). What a great addition he has turned out to be. Definitely our MVP this season.

Man, I never really regarded Dirk as a dude having any significant amount of inner strength and toughness, but I've gained a considerable amount of respect for 'em after what he's done coming back from that injury.

a quick premise for you guys.....say if yer an NBA exec.....how much is a 15pt, 12reb, 2blks a game type of player just entering his prime but a bit injury prone, worth to you?

just googled him. the guy who said Charlie V wouldn't be right for the Raps... he was sort of right. but still a douche.

How was he sorta right, bro? The kid was by far the most talented player at the 7th spot and most likely a top 5 pick. I still curse Colangelo for having shipped em off to the Bucks for TJ. He genuinely loved the city, was great for the community and, oh, averaged 16/8 in his rookie season.

The kid has some motivational issues, no doubt, but he's also got uncapped potential.....I'd package TJ and Bargs just to get 'em back.

Wow! How can you be an NBA fan in America and not know that? Lucky.

WTF, Shifty*z? How the hell did you not detect that, bro?

you're slippin, man you're slippin......

Anyway. I hope that we get swept in an embarrassing fashion just so that unjustifiably arrogant cocksuker Sam Mitchell is ******* kicked to the curb.

I have a hard time watching this team because of that asshole, man.

if you listen to what he said, it was something like "don't get me wrong, Charlie V will be a great player, but he's not what the Raptors need"... and he was pretty much right. don't get me wrong, I loved Charlie V and would much rather have him here than TJ ******* Ford, but what we needed (and have needed for like 6 years) is a big man that isn't afraid to crash the boards. wouldn't it be great if we got Dalembert? fits the bill perfectly

I don't think either is a hall of famer, but Hardaway is a bonafide HomOFobe-er[sic]

hurhur.....Timmy was one of the best, if not THEE best players at his position for a number of years. He's a career 18pts and 8 dimes player. Mitch on the other hand was just a pure scorer.....the epitome of the 2-guard position. Certainly one of the greatest sharpshooters that the game has ever seen.

imo, they're HOF calibre, but I'm a bit biased, so don't mind me.

I think all of Toronto was sort of devastated with that one, but it didn't seem like the worst trade in the world at the time. TJ was an up and coming PG and the Raps didn't have anyone decent at the point after Rafer and Mike James left. other than his spinal condition, getting TJ wasn't the worst thing in the world. couple of seasons later though, we all know what a massive douche he is and how Jose's improved his game like 3-fold since. whatever, I'm hoping we can trade TJ/Graham or some **** this offseason for a legit big man. Bargs is massively underachieving for a 1st overall pick as of right now, but his potential is just way too big to give up this early.

Rony you sound exactly like a mainstream Torontonian newspaper analyst. "Potential", hah. You folks keep associating that word with 'Nanny!

I would love to know where this kid would've been drafted if our management didn't hype 'em up to such a sickening degree? Would he have even gone in the first rnd? They kept talkin profusely about his intelligence before the draft because he'd scored so well in the Wonderlic equivalent that the NBA gives out to potential draftees, but I don't see that on the court, really. Maybe a little on the offensive side when he makes the odd prescient pass, but generally, he's an absolute retard out there on the court. It's easy to forgive someone for not being endowed with the genes necessary to make a particularly athletic play, but I cannot forgive a mother****er for having an obscenely low basketball IQ and not having the grit and mettle to compensate for that lack of awareness and understanding of the game.

Everytime he's out there on the court, I just wanna mutilate myself badly, man

Any of you ever take the time out to check out Bird's career stats on Basketball Reference? GOOD GOD! I got to see 'em in his last couple of years, but really, I was just too young to appreciate this man's immense abilities, man. Over the years, I've seen documentaries on 'em, a bunch of highlight videos, but his quality still didn't register with me in the way Jordan's might've.

I now feel terribly shameful and dirty for having compared a bunch of over-hyped Crackers over the years to this superior being, man....I could whackoff to his numbers all day and not get tired, man.

^^hopefully his boy Mitchell is next.

Is it me or are inexperienced and massively unskilled former players being given head coaching positions at an alarming rate? It's probably not unique to the NBA, but it seems like the only qualification you need nowadays is to have played the game for some period of time. Now I'm all for fresh faces, but it seems as though a lot of these guys are being thrust into positions that they're absolutely unqualified for. There used to be a procedure and a course of action to the process of getting into coaching back in the day where someone who wanted to coach would have to go through a development sequence starting at the high school level or some small college and then moving on up from there, but nowafter a player has been retired for a couple years and holds a clipboard for another, he's given the top job.

Folks seem to always be complaining about inexperienced players coming into the league to early and thus being the cause of the downfall of the level of play, but they never seem to criticize the GMs for hiring these unforgivably stupid coaches who aren't fit to run my little cousin's bantam league team, let alone an NBA squad.
