National Team Career Mode

If you can have a career mode with a club team, why not a national team as well? I think this could be a very good addition. You could guide your team through various big events (Regional championships, World Cup, etc), be able to call up new players from clubs around the world, stage friendlies to improve your FIFA rankings... if EA did this right, it would be nice.

And if they could merge it with the club team career mode somehow, it would be even better.

Something to think about.

but EA has shown us new features in its fifa series, so u never know, i say by 2024, we'll see this national team career mode implemented.

might be an alright idea, but very hard to do

club career is seen as far more important by most, so it is the main focus- not to say that this would not be a great idea in the future

IMO it appears more important to get the club career sorted out before attempting a national team career. To combine the both (ie. be manager of a club and national team at the same time, fitting in each one's duties) i find very appealling.

national teams are definitely neglected however - certain players should be able to be called up for national duty not already in default squads. Also it would be nice to have national stadiums such as Seoul, MCG, top US stadiums, millenium stadium plus more

Now here's a thought:

Wouldn't it be great if you could have a multiplayer seasonmode. So that you could play with some friends in a season, for instance you could play with Deportivo La Coruna and your friend could play with Barcelona and another friend could play with Real Madrid. Wouldn't that be great?
Oh wait wasn't there a FIFA that had that possibillity? What was it again? Erm let me think.....

Oh yeah I remember EVERY VERSION until FIFA 2004....

They just broke down the fun of the game....

Yeah, definately. They should make the club career mode as good as it can possibly be before attempting to do a national one.

But I hope someone from EA sees this, b/c I would really love to one day be able to have this in a FIFA game.

they should implement a feature in the club career game where your players get called up for international duties and have to miss matches (a pain in the backside, but realistic). Imagine being without Harry Kewell for a crucial ECC match because he has to go off to play against Fiji...

I have a feeling that will be a game in itself when the next real world cup comes around.

Why integrate it into one of the yearly releases when they can do it as it's own when people are excited about the real world cup and sell two soccer games that year?
