I have found some Soccer Digest magazines from the early 80's and they have NASL Rosters in there. There is height and weight as well, so a little later i'm gonna post them to help you with your research which appears to have stalled a bit.

It seems that the attempt has stalled to make the North American Soccer League after all the kit work that has been done here. I'm gonna make the rosters from the 1980 season when the league was at its peak. I have quite a few sources to go on to help me with this project including The NASL History book and NASL Encyclopedia as well as the American Soccer Encyclopedia and Soccer Digest. The only things I do not have is the uniforms. I'm gonna rate the teams based on the scale that i'm taking from The Coca-Cola English Division One League. The point here is to keep the project going so it will not die! I'm new to FIFA so I need to know if I need your uniforms ahead of time so I can do each team or can it wait?

It would probably be faster if you can get all the files from thelordspawn and kcwizards and help with the work that they started, rather than starting over with the 1980 season.

I believe that most of the graphics and some of the rosters have already been completed.

You need to ask thelordspawn and kcwizards what work is left for the original NASL all-stars patch, but I think just some of the rosters still need to be completed.

Many of the kits and graphics that were created would not be accurate for the 1980 NASL season, so it would likely take much more work to create 1980 compared to finishing the original patch.

Just my opinion,

yeah my db got messed AGAIN. im waiting for rinaldo to repair it. then i will upload a .cmp of what ive done.

my original work which was quite a bit got screwed so i had to star frmo beginning. but it shouldnt be too hard.

i was planning to go hardcore on this project this week i have off from school but i got sick. i had (and still do) constant head pain. and other things.

so unfortunetly i couldn't continue. seem bad luck is cursing this project lol. i'll TRY to work on it during class at school. but i cant promise anything.

if you guys can get rosters with player positions and bio info. that would be great and make things alto easier for me as 90% of the time it takes to make the players and teams comes from researching the bio info of the players. so if you can check the roster lists on past pages and get some bio info. for atleast the starting XI that would be good than it would be alto easier for me to complete. but i don't got the time to research entire teams bio info and stuff.

it would be nice if firefan and who else made roster lists can combine them into a word file then anyone wanting to help on the project collect bio info. add it into the word file and eventually sending everyone who wants to help make the teams the updated word file. it would make things faster.

I'm not exactly starting over. Since the rosters are not made i'm gonna do them if you guys don't mind. Since the Kits are mostly made there's no reason not to use them. Just keep in mind that after the 1980 season is made you can change the teams from there. This helps with making ratings as well since I only have to dwell on that one year.

Pollard7545

Ok people i'm gonna give this a go! I have completed my USFL Football file (20 teams) over at Football-freaks.com and i'm gonna turn my attention to making NASL 1980 season (24 Teams). Once that's done you guys can modify it to your liking. Since the great kits were already made by Ashman23, Samueljuarezf and Makispla, I need your permission to use your files and also I like to request that you make a couple of team kits for the project to be.
I need Kits and Minis for two teams: Houston Hurricane and Memphis Rogues. I need Minis for 4 teams: Detroit Express, Minnesota Kicks, San Diego Sockers and Vancouver Whitecaps. Since the NASL was a step below the Premier League and others i'm gonna use the Coca Cola League as a ratings templet with small changes for the superstars of the league. As the rosters are smaller compared to the USFL teams it shouldn't take too long to get into it. Please let me know if you guys are ok with this. I have enough books to do the work.

Since you guys have started this project i'm gonna need your imput about various things. Today im gonna work on the rosters starting with Atlanta which record was only 7-25 with 74pts. So it's easy to say that this is not going to be a very strong team! Now I need to know what stadiums you guys want to put the teams in. Here is the NASL from 1980 Stadiums and Avg Attendence for the year:
Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium[Chiefs](50,000)4,884 Avg
