My Training System

hey guys,

for the first time ever in FM, i've actually spent a decent amount of time in setting up a decent training system for my squad. Now i'm not completely sure if it's completely effective but it appears to be working so far.

I invested quite alot of money in getting the best coaches in the world to my club which seems to have made a tremendous difference.

download link if you wanna try it.

Anyways, here it is:

Goalkeepers

Defenders

Defensive Midfielders

Midfielders

Attacking Midfielders

Attackers

Coach Assignments

it looks similar to mine, and mine works well. I focus more on aerobic instead of strength though. And it isnt a good idea not to train your defenders not on shooting IMO, I did the same, and their passing, shooting and composure went down immensly, now I let them train a little bit on shooting, and their stats stay the same in that aspect

damn. I never thought it was a good idea to train players seperately. But whatever works works. You got high amount of stars on every training module which is good. Well i better take your idea. Great stuff!

But dont you get injuries from high amounts of training. For example intensive training wouldnt that cause injuries?

My guess would be Man Utd. :)

ha am i really that predictable? :p

pefan - i don't tend to get that many injuries as i made sure that the workload on all of them isn't too high; they're basically all one step below intensive.

Have attached the .zip below for those who want to try it. Please let me know with how you get on with it and how it can be improved :)

yeh i copied your method but i'm a bit concerned that my players stats will decrease a lot if the training type is set below a medium workload. I noticed a drop in stats in players for certain areas where the training is not intensive enough. but i guess you cant always make every stat increase no matter the schedule.

This seems more concentrated instead of having the all the outfield players training on the same schedule which is what i've always done. In cm 03/04 some people where using this idea of different schedules but the one schedule worked well over there.

i have also sacked some below standard coaches and hired new ones i've almost got 5 stars on every type of training i just need to hire 1 or 2 more.

to be honest, i don't really give a crap if a striker's tackling stat goes down, but i don't seem to have seen heading go down aswell.

it is important strikers can tackle because i had a striker with 13 tackling and he always won tackles when the defenders passed the ball across the back line. Depends what system your playing. The one schedule suited me because its better all stats improve to have well rounded players.

But i want to try this one because certain players are slacking.

Heading shouldn't go down becuase headingtraining is part of ball control.

Basically-

Goalkeeping- Obvious stat improvements (handling etc.)
Strength- Natural fitness, stamina, work rate and strength
Aerobic- Pace, Agility, balance, jumping
Tactics- Positioning, off the ball, teamwork, decisions, creativity, anticipation
Ball control- Technique, heading, dribbling, first touch
Defending- tackling, marking, positioning (both do it)
Attacking- Passing, crossing, teamwork
Shooting- Long shots, finishing, composure

And that's pretty much it.

if you want to know what part of training improves which stats, go to a player, click on his training and go to the interface where you see how he improved over the last months (with the coloured lines)

I spent so much fees getting rid of coaches and bring new ones in. I finally got 5 stars on every training type. And after 12 months the facilities have finally been upgraded to the max. Now i just need better players.
