Right i just got back from America ... and i really want to go back ... but obviously i need money to do this but i also think its about time i applied myself to my teaching degree and stayed in and studied for a couple of years ... anyways my problem is with my jobs

I just got a new job about 5 minutes from my house and its working in like a drink stop shop like it sells drinks and coffee's and all that stuff but i am only getting like 20 hours a week when i want heaps like 40 + ...my old job rang me and want me to come back and i know if i go back i'll be getting like 40+ hours and a lot of cash but the work is less enjoyable .. so I dont know wether or not i should go back to my old job which means the work will be harder but i will be getting paid a lot more OR stay with this new cruisy job but only be getting enough money to get me by ...

You only live once. Be happy. I suggest the job you actually like.

But....

Something may happen and you may not like it. Then you will wish you were somewhere else.

well...

sometimes you have to do things in life which u don't want to and here money is the concern to build ur future, so i suggest u join ur old job and pile up the money...

If you really need the money, take the higher paying job. Your not always going to like the way things go. But it all comes down to what you really want. Its up to you man.

imo it really depends on what you are actually going to do - if you are going to do your degree, then do the shorter hours, but if you want to go back to the US then do the longer hours. Thats what I would do anyway.

If you really need the money, go back to the higher paying job. If not, stay at the one that cruises. My advice, sell ebay!

I have been in school for 3 years now and paid my way through selling ebay, and made 5 trips to europe in the past 2 years. So find some junk and sell it!

go with the job that pays more, you will be alot more happy if you have money to buy things, 20+ hours you are happy selling drinks....but all the other hours you are stuck with no cash...or spend 40+ hours a week doing something you dont like, but you get lots of cash

Where were you in the US? Where do you want to go to study?

Anyways, just do what makes you happy. Now that might mean saving up money for long term or future happiness, but whatever you do make sure happiness is #1.

Yeah I would stay in school and get the teaching degree - very useful thing. The way I looked at it was, the country you want to go to will still be there in a few years, but the motivation to study may not be.
Thats why I broke things up the way I did i.e. did my undergrad, went to Aussie for awhile, came back and did my masters, went to UK and europe for a while, came back, and am doing my PhD, and then who knows after that... but at least I will have the prize at the end and will basically be able to go wherever (provided I can stay out of trouble that is).
