Is that part before each match that you see in the demo before every match? Or is it the same thing every time?

shots are not really scripted

managed to borrow the game from a fren to try it out. As always EA has done a good job with the presentation. Feels like you are managing and playing a team with the pressures. the newspaper articles are done quite nicely but one thing is that the situations for the season mode seems to be exactly the same. i tried it using man utd and my fren chelsea, both of us are nearly at the same date and all the scenarios are all the same. negative point i feel. They should at least included more scenarios for more unpredictability and randomize it, if not when u try diff teams it gets repetitive. Gameplay wise it has improved from fifa 2002(the last fifa i played i think, been playing pes since) saw my fren played fifa 2005 and was put off by the cumbersome free kick and corner controls. In this game they have improved it but i wonder if its necessary to put all those behaviours in it...seems all the same 2 me, though i did score through a near post flick on, once. passing and AI is good, AI defends rand attacks easonably well, i play on semi-pro. BUT ano negative point, the shooting is below par....i still feel its scripted....i
m using a microsoft sidewinder and shots are usually always STRAIGHT!! jeez...not a single curl mind u.everytime the replay shows up, i always wonder to myself do real life players always blast absolutely straight shots without any curl! i say no...This i say is a big no no..otherwise it would have been a worthwhile game to buy. even Freekicks are scored straight, no curl at all. the only curl i see is during crossing and corners and i wonder why they arn't in shots or free kicks. The option to shot curl and driven during freekicks doesnt seem to be working entirely well...

So perhaps someone care to enlighten me with the shooting? is there like any special button for curling? and stop all those absolutely straight shots! it makes it feel so scripted...i didnt get the manual from my fren so perhaps i'm not sure abt some of the controls since i didnt play fifa 2005. So can someone tell me whats modifier button used for? all i know that it and the shoot button combined enables to do a fake shot, other than that i'm clueless. And what abt the off the ball controls? just to see where ur teammates are off the screen? and how do u actually get the player run button to work for multiple players? often i only got 1 player runnin..and i want more...another thing is how do u use the first touch control on my gamepad? i read somewhere its shift on the keyboard but no idea wat is it for my gamepad.

Ok thats a lot of stuff! hope i get answers :)

sprinting speed plus shoot button=straight piledriver shot

jog pseed plus shoot button=curved shot

i'm sorry, jog speed u mean? erm isnt this juz the normal direction D-Pad??
don't get wat u mean by jog speed. so u mean just press the direction on the D-pad after u shoot, either normally or Freekicks to apply the curl?
