Hey guys, well i've been working in a bakery for a year now, and the pays **** and the working hours are terrible, so i applied for a job at Coles, it's big, you have to apply through the internet, so you just don't go to there store and ask for a application sheet these days, so yeah, they give you an account, and give you a couple of tests, to see how smart you are, my results were considerably good, so about 4 days later they e-mailed me about an interview (My mates have been trying to get to this stage for months, can't believe it only took me days) So this interview will be on this Wednesday, and it goes for an hour, have you guys got any tips that may help?

Thanks.

with coles its the group interview yeah? just go there and act as team-player-ish, friendly and sociable as you can. and don't turn up late ;)

bullsh1t on all the questions they give you, like "give an example of when you worked as a team" and stuff like that.

Get there early. Not on time or just a little before but get there pretty early. Shows eagerness and enthusiasm and shows that you are actually interested.

Fantastic advice.

Look them in the eyes and smile.

Also good advice, but don't smile all the time, you have to show that you are also serious. Smiling too much can be just as bad as not smiling at all.

What's Coles? Anything like Kohls owned by my favorite gay Senator from Wisconsin?

yeah i work at a supermarket, they ask you questions about being a team player, have you ever been in a situation where u had to work together to get the job done etc. So just make stuff up, and tell them you play football (if you do) because they thought that was a good example as working as a team.

Always look in his eyes, most important. I work in a supermarket too, I totally screwed the job interview up, but I still got hired (40 got hired from a total of something like 150, I was one of them)

Just act casual and cool. And making stuff up and lying is okay too, but don't over do it. You don't want to give them the impression that you're some compulsive bull****ter.
