my fifa07 crashes!

My fifa07 crashes. I am starting my 3rd season with arsenal and when i click on play to play the community shield game,the game crashes to the desktop. I just downloaded nk's gameplay mod a few games ago,does any one think it is the cause of the problem?

No, that should not be the problem. Have you edited the database in any way? As in, have you added any new kits etc?

No, i have not. Infact, it crashes when i click on play next match. This file is included in the error report; CDOCUME~1\JOE\LOCALS~1\Temp\137_appcompat-txt

Best guess is that you have more than 30 players on your team. Did you loan out any players last season?? The game stops you increasing your immediate squad to more than 30, but it doesn't take into account players out on loan. If their return takes your squad over the limit then the game crashes because there are at least three areas of the manager mode data file that are not big enough

Unless you are playing on PC then you are SOL I'm afraid, and even on PC you'd need a save game from before the end of the previous season ('cos the damage has already been done at the point you save the game in the new season)

It turns out the game only crashes when am in the career. I can play tournaments and stuff, but , but now when my players celebrate,take throw ins and when replays are shown, there is a green haze and green background!!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

You must use the program Creation Master 07 by Rinaldo. Be advised, once you use that program, you will not be able to continue your career.

There is a big difference between saving the game state and backing up those saves. If you don't take copies of your 'FIFA 07' folder in 'My Documents' (or the specific manager mode folders within) in some way then you don't have a useful backup.

Without a backup from before season's end I'm not sure that you can. If you do have a backup then you can use a hex editor to remove sufficient of the loan players to bring you back to the thirty player limit, but that does require some knowledge of the layout of the save file (which I can impart) and some means of identifying your team id and the player ids of your loan players (which you could do with a program like DB Master or with my analyser tool). If you like you could email the problem manager mode data file to me, along with your FIFA.DB and ENG.DB, and I'll take a look at it and see if I can figure out any way to repair the damage (send a ZIP archive of those files to [email protected])

BTW have you added any patches, or any self-made edits to your game?? The problem with a 'green haze' won't be connected with the 30 player problem, so perhaps your game installation is corrupt in some way?? Oh, and Tizmo's comment about CM07 isn't going to help you, because that program cannot make changes to the manager mode data file, only to the FIFA.DB and associated installation files.

Fifa07 crashes after only switching one team

Hi Frds,

Ive downloaded and tried all the editing tool kits (reinstalled fifa07 each time) and found that nothing seems to work?...the one I settled on that did something was creationcentre 2007 although its not as intuative as CM07. I also downloaded kitraptor only for the fatrebuild addon.

I tried editing just one thing..switching Charlton Athletic and Sunderland in the leagues...on a fat rebuild I could see they had been switched but the game crashed on an attempt to launch a match. Switching just Sunderland and there were no problems...

Secondly on the Fatrebuild it crashes too at file 39 reporting an error, which apparently is due to miscoding ...I turned off all my debuggers.

I went back to Fifa07 DB manager and started again... nothing worked..I did ths with all the editors as mentioned above...

is there another FATrebuld programme anywhere? I downloaded and tried the two on your links page.

Ah, it's so frustrating. My game crashes on the new season and its only my second one! I've used a roster update patch, and thats it. It usually crashes when on the scheduling bar at 75% or 80%. I'm not sure its the 30-limit player thing either, since I didn't loan anyone out. I really want to play this again.
