My fifa day ruined

months i have been waiting like i do every year in the hopes and the anticipation of the new fifa to come out

i called the day before to make sure my local EB games would have it

the day arrives, me and my buddy each buy a copy hoping just hoping it will be all that was promised

we play a couple games, very average i feel, if you love graphics and licensing this is your game, but if you know football and know how to play this is not it

i read scripted this scripted that but never understood what people are talking about, i found out quick enough, you cant do what u want to do in fifa, instead its the same build up same channels every time

shooting is pathetic, i play soccer and i dread the day when a keeper can stop point blank shots like this some look like there hit 200mph and the keeper gets to every thing

game play is same through ball same move, first touch wow who cares it should have been implemented as a given not a new feature

the horror didn end there oh no, lets go to career mode, i dont want to play with s****horpe i want to play with my beloved man utd, i dont play in the premiership so i buy games like this so i can feel just a bit like my heros i watch week in and out, sooo dissappointing

oh and the final irony the FIFA shop with the point u accumulate you can buy strips, balls, stadiums (nights LOL) and collina
now there are no refs in game play so why would i want to buy collina

EA what have u done? i would rather you take a year off and rehaul the whole thing

well all was not lost since we played my friends copy i was able to return mine for a full refund

Of all the things I dont agree with with what you said, I have to say your attack on Career Mode is quite fruitful. I agree not being able to choose any team you want sucks, but at least its better than PES3 where you could choose ManU and get a team of losers picked up off the street! With weird names like Beljokovic or Samsonifavic.

but i really thought career mode would have saved this fifa but not even being allowed to choose my team is pathetic what were they thinking

and yes what was PES3 thinking with those street found players lol i have no idea either

Rabster believe me i dont hate fifa, i am very sad that it is so poor this year

i pride myself on buying fifa every year cuz i love the game but not if its gonna be like this

i still remember picking up my first fifa the very first one even have a limited edition genesis copy so sayin oh just another person who hates fifa is not teh case at all

hey, im watching lot of people complain with reason about the new fifa (i like some stuff and i hate others) but the points is every guy that complain about something is insulted or threated like and idiot.

So, this is a forum or what?

Cut the bull**** and let the others say what they want, or the forum is only to say how great the ea people are for doing the game?

PS: The game is nice but is not what i expecting, im a little dissapointed about it..

roc, there have been lots of people who register in these forums for the sole purpose of flaming FIFA 2005. IMO I think they are PES fanboys trying to convert people. Most of their criticism is random and heard from friends, etc. I'm not saying you or ddsmufc is one of these people, but its happening too often.

I dont think FIFA 2005 is perfect but I have successfully fine-tuned the AI to my liking, I play to relax, so I tuned the Professional difficulty to make my side play better. One of the things I hated about EA was that the harder difficulties made YOUR team stupider, so I changed that and now I am playing the Prem League tourney with ManU and I have to work hard to earn my wins.

sky what do you really like about this fifa apart from last years
its nice to see you can fine tune yours but what about the peeps with ps2 or x box versions we really dont have the options like you do get what i mean

Fine tuning the AI is just my personal preference. Its hard to say what I like about 2005, the gameplay just feels fluid for me. PES3 is not a bad game, I agree the AI does adapt to your tactics and adjusts accordingly, thats what I like about PES3 but unfortunately my specs are that good and add to the fact that it was a console port to PC, it never quite ran 100% for me. So I think console gamers might like PES3 better.

That is not a good idea . . .

I mean, the editing like faces, kits, etc got their own forum, and also the technical problem issue. Now the opinions can only be shared in the sticky thread, sonner or later there will be more categorized sticky thread which lead to the question : what`s the FIFA 2005 main forum for ? If you follow the rules you made ( about posting in the appropiate forum or thread ) then the Portuguese Super Liga thread should also be moved to the Editing Forum, so why post it in the main forum ?

Again, what`s the FIFA 2005 forum for if everytime someone made a new thread, they`re obliged to post it in another sticky thread ? Seriously, when people wanna talk about FIFA 2005, of course they`re gonna talk about their feelings, about how they would edit them, etc. With that, maybe one or two or three threads might be simillar but that doesn`t mean that they can`t post new threads to get help or sharin`, does it ?

I'll not complain if they move my thread to the editing forum. But this kind of threads are pathetic, always lead to the same thig, PES vs FIFA until they got blocked, i think that should exist an Opinions forum were people can create this kind of threads cause only the ones that wanted to see opinions would go there, it annoys me seeing so many threads of the same thing and sometimes pure bashing on the main forum...

Well, what do you expect ? This is just the first few weeks of FIFA 2005, and just like in previous years, there will be opinions thread flyin` around like it or not. In a couple of months time there will be new threads for gameplay patches, patches release, ( hopefully ) official EA patches, etc. Now, imagine if the mods decided to make every single thing categorized in one sticky thread or forum, then that would be pretty lame ain`t it ? A main forum with no threads only sticky ones . . . There`s too many sticky thread IMO, that slowly kill the purpose of the main forum, which is to discuss FIFA 2005. Keep the sticky for release date, minimum spec and ( if any ) an official EA patch thread. You can`t tell people where and when they can post their opinions . . .

And threads like this will always lead to PES VS FIFA, like it or not, cos` that`s the two main football games now. If you shared your opinion on something, you would use a comparison, and that`s exactly what people are doing, it`s natural, it`s human . . .

I would love to see how many of them really bought the game and if they want to simply bash they have EA forums... i'm not biased and show some respect to someone that belongs to the community since 2002... not to mention that i've played all FIFA and PES and ISS from the beggining, FIFA INTERNATIONAL SOCCER (94) and ISS for SNES.

You don`t get me . . . I said too much categorization of topics in a forum or sticky thread will slowly kill the function of the main orum . . . Let people have their say and discuss about the game, don`t force them to post in what thread or what forum. Back in 2002, 2003, there was not so many sticky threads but everybody got along well didn`t they ? Because they can discuss, share opinions freely on their threads and postin` replies easier, not because they`re forced to browse hundred of pages in one sticky thread . . .

look at EA's other series theres barely no complaints cuz there is no better title in hockey than the nhl series ditto for american football with the madden

fact is why does EA make promises and then produces games like this mouto are you really satisfied with this fifa? i paid just like others to find out i got conned? ha no thank you
