Yes I have the demo but you can´t dribble past defenders. Except a move with the s.k walk button and one weird thing with the shi*ty freestyle button. I thougt they said they were improving the freestyle button`????
And I don´t understand that walk button? Why shall we walk on the pitch?It even slows down the game even more.

my thoughts, both PES and fifa seem pretty good this year. I used to play fifa from fifa'96 onwards. I only started playing pes2 about a year ago on a psx emulator, and after a while found out that i liked it better than fifa 2002 at that time, despite of the crappy graphics and the funny names.

Pes3 and fifa2004 can't really be compared. Ok , they are both soccergames, but the gameplay is totally different. I hated fifa2003, tried the demo , never bought it after that. Fifa2004 looks a lot better, pes3 looks and plays great, i guess i get them both. It's not impossible for a fifa-fan to like PES or vice versa. Maybe if Konami and eaports teamed up they could create the Ultimate football game!!! (but i guess from playing the demo pes3 is pretty close to that....:)

It really amuses me how some of you go on. :gavin:

It all comes down to which game you prefer to play, and which game gives you what you want out of a game.
Some people love to have the full license others like to focus on the intricacies of gameplay.

I haven't played PES 3, but I am looking forward to getting it on PC, and I will probably get Club Football, and each of them will offer me something that the other can't

You can dribble in Fifa 2004, you still have the special moves using the right analogue stick, but it is not easy to just ghost past the defence (which is the way it should be)

I don't care which game you are a fan of (coming from the word fanatic, quite appropriate ;) ), just bring a little objectivity, or slug it out in the my dads better than your dad Fifa vs PES forum.

Thats not a dribbling. It is a move. One move with the "improved" freestyle button from Fifa 2003. Fifa 2003 had at least 4 dribblings. Fifa 2004 have one shi*y move

Hey BABY, you are becoming boring with your dribble obsession.
Go to Breamster web site and download a little film where you will see a player making the famous Zidane spin move that eliminates his opponent. Then figure the moves by yourself and practice .And you'll achieve what you want.

demos

Sup guys, i just downloaded the fifa2004 demo yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how much ea has improved on fifa. I also heard that konami released a pes3 demo, and downloaded it and i've been playing for a while. all i can say is oh my god, this is what i've been missing!!

(for example: the computer kick a nice shot, my goalie dives (unsucessfully) to try to block the shot, the ball hits the side of the goal post, another opponent tries a shot from the side, my goalie blocks the ball into the air, and snatches it over 2 guys trying to head it when it comes down)

Ok! Yes I am talking about dribbling to much but come on! This is a football game and you can´t drible:f***:

I just love to make a dribbling with Zidane and then I am 4 men vs 3 in an counterattack. thats the thing I love and in FIfa 2003 you could do that perfect.

You could not make proper HEADING in Fifa 2003, remember ???
What do you answer to that ?
I think it was more painful.
And I can assure you that in the end you'll be able to make nice dribbling. The hard thing is that this year it's more difficult to achieve because it's not as scripted as it was last year !
That 's a problem with Fifa games, they change the game so much every year that we all are desoriented at the beginning.
You just need time to adapt yourself.

Now I don´t feel to dissapointed cause I played PES3. It was good and I loved the special tricks button but Fifa is much better in the overall. Anyway. I don´t think the heading was a to big problem in Fifa 2003 cause when you stand still you could take the ball down with good controll. I am prioriting dribbling higher
