My FIFA 2004 Review

After having played the game for near 2 days straight heres my review............

GRAPHICS: 9/10
Fantastic. EA always produce fantastic graphics. Players look sharp and most look like their real life counterparts. Stadiums look excellent.

SOUND & ATMOSPHERE: 7/10
Commentary is very impressive. Sentences flow well and there are no gaps in speech. Stadium atmosheres however in my opinion are not that impressive. The crowd chants are good but I noticed that when playing a game such as Chelsea vs Arsenal, there was no real derby feeling....the crowd were very dull.

GAMEPLAY: 9/10
People who rate PES3 better than FIFA 2004 are crazy. FIFA's gameplay is great. Full of action, realism and excitement. Gameplay has been slowed down a lot but I feel that this makes the game mor realistic and techinal. Off The Ball is an excellent feature. It makes the game what it is. I thought that it would be difficult and unsuccessful but infact it works amazingly well and is relatively easy to pick up.

RANGE & DEPTH: 8.5/10
Something for everyone. I haven't completed a season yet but from what I've seen Career mode is great. Very exciting and more tactical. I love the inclusion of Argentinian teams and especially lower league teams.

OVERALL: 9/10
The ultimate footie game. PES3 has no chance compared to FIFA. A big step up for EA. Well done...looking forward to next year's edition......lol

not really...the dribbling takes time to learn how to master it.....it is vey difficult and i loose possession most of the time

btw i cant seem to find and signature moves for players like davids or zidane....are there any

Well, Fifa 2004 is a football game. BUT YOU CAN`T DRIBBLE. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I WILL BY PES

you play football in real life??? i dont think so!!

FIFA's gameplay isn't realistic... far away from this!!

i played fifa for years... and i always get frustated cuz the gameplay is ****, but i had not alternative... now i have!

i saw on a magazine that the shots are too powerful and that you score 60% of the goals out of the box, it was solved for the final version? I mean, are the GK more smart and the shots better? Please anwer this it's really important, cause on the magazine they said that is the only problem on FIFA 2004 and i agree cause i've played the DEMO.

Did you played FIFA 2004 DEMO for PC? Cause has nothing to do with previous FIFA's...

by the way, playing the demo, FIFA just ripped off PES BIG TIME.
In fact, it seems to be EXACTLY like Winning Eleven 6.

100% right, these PES fanatics have a forum to pray to PES, go there, here we talk about a true football game that don't have flags saying "Go for victory" or "Get a goal". :crazyboy:

no i'm not a pes fan, i only play football games... and its fantastic how people can't see the reallity...

i know fifa 2004 its a way better than 2003, but it is still crap...

OK! First of all. I am a s.k "Fifa-Fan" but after I have seen the PES3 movies I must say it´s looking so *****ng good. Names, clubs, leagues and things like that is what makes Fifa better. But now for Fifa 2004.

I love to dribble. In PES3 you can dribble and do beautyfull moves. In Fifa 2004 you can´t even dribble past defenders. Fifa graphics are better. I have always loved Fifa but now for 2004 I think maybe even 2003 was better in the overall.

Fifa 2004 gameplay is realistic but have big holes. Ex. It is way to slow ant takes a half hour to make a player turn. The shots are weird man.

Fifa 2004 looks like a cartoon game. Graphics are great but it is not enough.

PES3 gameplay is superb man. But the celbrations are gay. I don´t know how the hell you can even think about something like that in a football game. The shots look great. I think you should give PES3 a chance.

I don´t think I will buy PES3 cause I love fifas rights and leagues and all the players. But for Fifa 2004 I was hoping to make a own player with my name and be able to dirbble pas the last defender and make a great realistic curved shot. But now I can´t do either. At least I hope you can make your own player.

On thing I know for sure. Fifa 2005 will not be the best football game if EA will continoue this way.

PES only misses the rights etc.

I have bought Fifa since 96. I have never been dissapointed in the overall. Only after Fifa RTWC 98 cuz you could do plenty of spectacular dribblings. One version after there was none left. I found that stupid.

Isn´t the purpose to make games better with the new version not make some things worse and some better?

But Fifa 2004 is in the overall nearly not OK in my opinion. I really don´t understand how some of you are happy with it. I loved fifa 2003 and the dribblibgs. the speed were pretty good and everything was OK but not over that. So it was a OK game and you could have fun to play it.

:rolleyes: Man I am so dissapointed cause I really looked forward to this.

look.....in my opinion fifa is the master of all football games

why buy PES and play WEST LONDON BLUES VS MERSEYSIDE when u can play Chelsea vs Liverpool on Fifa 2004

ok. everyone can think of ways of improving fifa but its the same with PES.no game is 100% perfect.

and if u dont like the footie games on offer why dont u go away and make ur own one....then we will see wot game is better
