Bicfalvi gets really good, though I sold him to Saint-Etienne cause he couldn't get in the team. Iacob didn't grow at all, despite having the potential. Simion, Pedriel, Militaru didn't progress at all for me. and as for Ionescu, he turned out awesome in my game in just 1 season and 1/2, I'll post a screenshot. Szekely, Golanski, Plesan and Nicolita are other players who haven't progressed at all, but they're not young anymore so I guess it's ok.

what about Vlad Rusu? he used to be great in FM08, now he's crap.

Ionescu never got the opportunity with my team and is still going between the reserves and the first team without playing. I signed Defour at the end of the year (purposely because I secretly intend on selling club favorite Hugo Viana, but not yet), so he really will never get a chance with me. BTW, Koln was willing to shell out 5 million euros for Bicvali for some stupid reason, and I made sure that I will get 50% of his next transfer fee too. Everyone in the world seems to love him except me, I just don't get it. He'll probably be at Bayern in a year.

I've signed Ljungberg and wait for it..... RIVALDO for super cheap to tutor my regens. Not sure how wise it is to have a young player learn from Rivaldo, but we shall definitely see. Rivaldo still has ridiculous stats too, 15+ at everything, except he has 5's for stamina, strength, pace, etc. Honestly, I could see myself playing him if I really had to. As for the regen Ljungberg is tutoring... I really think he's going to be the next big thing. I'm sinking every possible resource into him that I possibly can, including 250k for an aging Freddy Ljungberg for a 6 month contract.

yeah, Rivaldo and Ronaldo got some of my interest for the exact same reason but their physical stats seemed too low to do anything really. also tried to get Del Piero but he wouldn't come.

anyway, here are shots of Ionescu, Arthuro (at Charlton) fighting for the EPL top goalscorer spot and what I've told you about Stancu.

****!! 4th season, I draw Olympiakos in the first knockout phase, so I'm feeling great. Lost 5-3 in Greece with 2 guys sent off (including Radoi), and limped to a pathetic 1-1 draw in Bucharest. ******* Diogo :(

By the way, if you're looking for a striker, Diogo from Olympiakos is ridiculous. I really thought I had a shot this year. It was by far my best team, and I beat Man U in Bucharest 2-1 and only lost 1-0 at Old Trafford because Tevez beat Asenjo with a 40 yard shot (not even a chip). I guess there's always next year, but multiple foreign clubs want every player in my first team and have many bids rejected in both transfer windows.

Here's your future, Romania!!!

Just curious Shifty... from a foreigner's perspective what do the FM Romanian names look like to you when you look at them? Do you try to pronounce them or do you just see them as a bunch on consonants? And what other countries to you similarize them with?

Haha, I just pronounce them like they look to me, even though I know it's wrong. I don't think there's really too many consonants in a row, it's not Polish.

Starting the 2013/2014 season and getting a little bored. Might look for a new challenge, or just start a new game. My team is so vastly superior to the competition, but my 4 straight league title streak was snapped last season with a horrendous 5th place finish. Plus Romania is now crushed in the UEFA coefficients; last season I was a preferred team in the 2nd Qualifying round, and this last season only 1 CL team and 2 UEFA Cup teams.

Plus I'm too much of a seller team, I can't keep my youngsters and it's frustrating as hell. I just lost a 20 year old Romanian defender to Inter for 18 million euros. I told Inter that I wanted 37.5M to get them off my back, they came back with an 18M offer and Becali accepted. That kid seriously was the next Nesta. My stud right winger hates me because I won't let him go, my stud AMC hates me because I won't let him go. All 3 of the guys I mentioned are about 20, and Romanian, but the ****ers want to go abroad. I can understand it now that I suck and finished 5th, but the reason I invested in youth was to keep my players for many years and develop my own talent. GRR!!!!!

that Balint guy is a ******* monster. :O

I'm in 2012 now, and I know what you mean. the league is too easy but you still can't do sh*t in Europe. my goal is to play until I get to win the UEFA Cup (or the CL if I can dream). though lately I try and finish 3rd in the CL groups so I can go further in the UEFA Cup, where I stand a chance. managed to qualify further from two really hard CL groups in the last couple of years though the first time I drew Real Madrid (with Benzema and Aguero in their squad) and the second time Arsenal.

though I'll give up if I get really bored, I'm on holiday now so I got nothing else to do. was thinking of starting a new game with Naval from Portugal but I'll see about that later. would also like to take a club from the bottom league straight up to the EPL but usually when I've tried doing so I got bored amazingly quick.

btw: got any players from the 2008 team? I still got Toja and Ionescu. oh and I managed to sign Rivaldo. (H) and Park Joo-Young from Monaco for cheap, the Korean 25yo striker, who despite having average stats is doing incredibly well, having scored 9 goals in 11 matches and 5 assists.

Thanks :(

What good is investing in young players and training facilities if all of your players leave before they turn 21!?!??! And I could understand if it was my Italian contingent that all wanted out, but the Romanians!? Traitors. I think I'm going to play as Leeds, so at least when I get back to the Premiership no one will leave me.

Plus I'm pissed that my tactics aren't working as well as they probably should anymore.

Oh yeah. I still have Radoi and he's still a starter (and would still be the captain, except I expected to play him as a backup until Inter poached Balint), still have Ochirosii because he backs down over every transfer demand (he's probably made 10), still have Razvan Rat (I know he starts at Shakhtar, but he was my first purchase), and still have Florin Lovin.

I guess I have a replacement for Balint, but it's just not the same :(

2015, took over at AC Milan's aging squad after they finished 6th. The board understood that I had ambitions abroad, but I did become the most successful manager in Romanian history with 6 league wins in 7 years, 3 cup wins, and a whole lot of disappointment in Europe.

Now.... how do I kick Gattuso and Pirlo off the team?

BTW, that Bogdan Balint guy at Inter is now worth 36.5 Million Euros and is the greatest defender I have ever seen. 22 years old. No interest in coming to the other side of the city. :(

I resigned from Dinamo and I went to O.M., where without any transfers I finished Ligue I on the second place, and I won UEFA Cup. At the end of the season Manchester United made me an offer and I just couldnt reject her. I won Premier League in the first season, and I was a contender to ECC in the second season. I lost in the Semi-Final. And after the end of the season I went to Romania national team, Piturca was saked... I had the satisfaction to train players like Rooney(who managed to score 51 goals only in the league and 9 goals in FA Cup and League Cup) or Muntari-an awesome player, my favourite player in the whole game... he barely miss one or two passes in a game.

Haha, that job was a suicide mission; I just didn't realize it until I started to put the squad together.
