SI would never do that, they'd have to incorporate the 3D engine. They hate the tactics on the FIFA engine, ie: has anyone played the TCM04 demo? Try a 0-5-5 lineup. CPU will always be offside...

I can see plenty of publishers trying to break down SIs door for the rights to Championship Manager source code. Look at how long each version spends in the charts. Its always in the top five untill the next version comes out and then after the new version comes out people who are skinflints buy the older version so its still in the top ten for a few months after. I'd buy it :mrpimp:

My friend doesalready have 03-04 how does that come? surely he have downloaded it from DC but is that the full version? If it is why don´t they release the game earlier if it´s already out??

no your friend has probably commited an illegal act, the game was apparently put on the net by people who did actually buy the game early, from (lets say) dodgy shops. Some people then uploaded this on the net, and people are downloading it. Completly illegal.

Merchandising reasons. They set a release date they can manage to get the game finished by, and build a merchandising campaign around that date. Not releasing on that date would make them untrustworthy at once, even if it is earlier.

btw, if he has access to Russian gaming stores or is a distributor, it could be a legit copy.
