My Ajax game.

I am pretty bored, so i thought why not type up a little adventure i'd just been a part of with my Ajax squad.

Well to be honest i hate typing a lot, so i'll keep it brief.

In the 2029/30 season with Ajax i was 12 points behind the leader PSV in 4th spot with about 10 games remaining, i managed to scrape it back to 6 points with 1 game in hand.

My game in hand was against Feyenoord away who were sitting 15th at the time, i thought i probably would of won to sit 3 points behind PSV with 2 games to go. Unfortunately i lost 3-1 to remain 6 points behind.

Little did i realise that my next match was actually against PSV at home, so i pretty much discovered that i had blown a terrific chance to pull level if i had of beaten Feyenoord.

In an absorbing match i came away victorious from the PSV match 2-0 with 10 men. Going into the last game i still needed a miracle, PSV were away to Dordrecht who are no easy-beats sitting 4th at the time and i was at home to Vitesse, who were dead last and already relegated.

Not to mention PSV had a considerably better goal difference than me so i need PSV to at least draw or lose and Ajax to win to secure the title.

I took the lead 1-0 in the first half as did PSV, not looking good, but then again Dordrecht had just equalised against PSV, and i thought the title was in my grasp until an unlikely equaliser came from Vitesse to make it 1-1 at Full time.

I was pretty much unhappy about it. Imagine drawing to a team thats already relegated when the title is on the line.

Anyone got some terrific stories like mine? :mrpimp:

Well i thought it was pretty entertaining at the time when i was drawing closer and closer to PSV who were dropping points all over the shop. Just to fall short at the last hurdle to a team thats relegated just annoys me. Take nothing away from Vitesse, they probably deserved it anyway.

On my ADO Den Haag game I had an awesome run the first season in the Dutch Cup. I won the first division by quite a bit, but the cup games made the season. I beat Groningen, Fortuna, Heracles, PSV 3:3 (4-2 on penalties), NAC 1:1 (3-2 on penalties), before finally losing to Heereveen 4-2 in the final. I managed a UEFA Cup spot the next year. Now, my team of no-names has some quality. Ibrahimovic (3 million dollars), Zane (2.9 million), Engele(Aussy who in like ten years becomes awesome) and Diao from Sedan. I only have like 450k for a transfer budget. So, I have Pasanen, Huntelaar, Sikora, and Heitinga on loan for the season.

I'll keep you updated on how things are going.

No worries TROD, my name is Chris by the way, i will include some pics now which relate to my story.

This one shows the results from the last day. Unfortunately because i;ve had to backtrack about 8 months to take a screenshot the box that shows the teams position is where they are at the current time, not what the final positions actually were on that day.

Vitesse's box is empty, hence not in the division anymore.

This is the game vs PSV, the 2nd last game of the season, i honestly thought i was going to drop some points after Kox got sent off, but it wasn't to be :P

Here is another pic of actual points we finished on, and it shows the goal difference, which is a little closer than i actually thought it was. PSV had to drop points on the last day for me to have any chance of winning the title. Which they did, i just couldnt finish the job against Vitesse.

This next picture shows the disgusting loss to Feyenoord, quite taken by surprise by it to be honest, considering their league position at the time, which was 15th if my memory serves me correct. The draw on the last day must of lifted them out of real danger to 13th.

Overall probably THE best title race i've ever experienced, pity i wasn't the team that won it. Haha.

I don't know where to locate a pic of where i was 12 points behind with about 10 games to go, but if you know where to do so, let me know. Cheers.

Exciting stuff or what? :crazyboy:

Ok, my great title race was as Chelsea in the 04/05 season.

19 Games into the season I was sitting 7th with 8 wins, 1 draw and 10 loses. Man Utd were miles ahead of Arsenal on 38 pts and Utd being on 51 who were 1st and 2nd.

After a great mid season turn around Chelsea went on to wint he League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and the EPL after winning 19games in a row which included a 6-0 thumping of Liverpool, 4-0 at Old Trafford againist United and 1-0 at Highbury with a Anelka winner in the 87th Minute.

Anelka ended the season with 103 goals and Aimar with 45 assists.

I can never get stats like that. Usually i have an even spread of goals and assists throughout my squad, never does anyone dominate the stat sheet like Anelka and Aimar did for you.

My best story wa in my first seasona t Real Madrid, I'd won the league at a canter, including a 10-0 hammering od athletico, but i lost the Spanish Cup Final 2-0 to lowly Sevilla of Division 2. Not terribly ironic, just pathetic preformance.

My best title race was in my old Chelsea game, with no Roman. It was against Arsenal, i was behind them all the time but i had a game to play against them. With only 20 minutes, i was already 3-0, but they changed their formation to a 3-3-4 or something pretty strange, and they started losing goals like mad. They scored 2 but i held on to the match and we won 3-2. That kept us 1 point behind them, after that we were leading the Premiership but i dont know how but we lost to Man City home, 2-0, and they were last. Arsenal capitalised but we kept chasing them, and when we got closer i had to play Man Utd away. We scored first but our defense was horrible that day, and we conceded 3. 3-1 the final score, and they were like 4 pts away from us, with 3 games to go. We had to win all three, and with 1 win and a draw they would win the league. I had tougher opponents, while they had Birmingham, W.B.A, and another relegated team which i dont remember. We won the first one, and they drew, the diff was 2 pts, then we had to face West Ham, who was doing pretty well in that league sitting in the top 7, we won again, but an early strike from Pires gave Arsenal the EPL title. After that we lost to Charlton, were only my reserves played the game. At least we saved our season winning the UEFA Cup against Celta, 5-0. As you can see i also lost the championship, despite the great title run and all.

Grunger0x, hahaha yeah it's great to have title races like those, but it makes it extra special when your the team that wins it after being behind the whole way.

TROD. Is cool about not knowing my name, also this season, i am actually sitting first on 42 points, but PSV and AZ are breathing down my neck on 41 and 40 points respectively, all on the same ammount of games played. Looks like it may be another tight season.

Yeah, i love managing Ajax, such a great team. In the last 3 seasons i've had 11 players come through my youth acadamy.

PSV will be very, very tough to try and win the title against for the first couple of seasons. Well i found it tough anyway :)

I started a game with Ajax before... I won the first 10 or 11 games, was ahead by like 6 points, then gave up cuz it was too easy... Knopper and O'Brien were my stars :p
