It was a pretty even game and yeah the win is a big confidence boost. Bailly is a rock at the back. Reminds me of Vidic. Hope to see more of the same from him.

I doubt we will win the league. It is not easy winning the league with a team that ended 7th, 4th and 5th in the preceding seasons. Mourinho has never won the league with a team that finished 5th. I predict we will do better this season; 3rd or 2nd. I'd be happy enough with that.

He made 3 assists against Galatasaray. LVG did the right thing to convert him to a right back. He is a perfect right back. Much better than inconsistent Darmian.

In England it's central defender and 4 is the DM. All about how each nation evolved its tactics from the 2-3-5. England went to the WM first, so the middle defender, the #5, dropped to CB and the 2 pushed to the wide spots. Then the 6 dropped. In Germany, the 4 is the player who dropped when it went to a 4 man back line instead of the 6.

Brazil didn't have the same tactical lineage.
