On a different subject, it's always important to remember United's roots ...

Good game to watch ... City dominated first half and deserved the win ... United made it more even in the second half ... more positives than negatives here ... Fellaini improved alot this year but still we need better support for Pogba ...

Btw, Mourinho full sentence was Sometimes players disappoint their managers but it's manager fault at the end ...

And in that interview he said exactly what Shifty said. Also he blamed The ref for having a bad day because they deserved 2 penalties.

1 penalty should have been given for sure and red card. That would have changed the game completely. Regardless, City still deserve the win. Refs sometimes miss things and we have to deal with it. Sometimes they go our way sometimes not.

Because you didn't watch the game. In the 72nd minute Fernandinho volleys a corner into the bottom corner and it's saved by De Gea. Otamendi goes for the followup about 12 inches away from the line, but an instant before he can actually make contact for his shot, Bailly comes through his plant foot and takes him out. The shot goes flying wide.

I watched it. There was no contact between Bailly and Otamendi but if there was, this would be a definite red + penalty. It didn't go wide. It was saved by DdG.

General pundit consensus is that bravo should have been in trouble for his challenge, which I must admit I thought was fine when I saw it in game

I think maybe it's because everyone who wrote about the game was in the stadium. That kind of crowd (plus not a great view from the press box) will definitely influence someone.

This is definitely "serious foul play". You cannot argue the recklessness there. He won the ball but also caught Rooney with his studs very dangerously. This is precisely why 2 footed challenges are also red card even if you win the ball and doesn't touch the ball at all.

He caught Rooney's shin even before he won the ball (i.e. he fouled first then won the ball) . That makes it even more like a red + penalty. Very lucky not to get punished.
