Most underestimated/overestimated players in CM01-02

Effectiveness?

Or some hidden code in players like Solskjaer who don't have to play first team football to be world-class.

Solksjaer is an amazing makeshift right winger. I'm sure Fergie is having doubts about using Becks ahead of Solks

Hes not really a striker, though its a sham because Man U are frantic about a 2nd striker and Solksjaer would be perfect for that role.

Fergie definitely would have doubts but he NEVER shows it.
And because of his stubborn nature, it looks more likely Becks will retain his place even if Solskjaer's on a superb roll.

Just hope that Fergie continues to drop the Neville brothers if he wants to beat Liverpool this Sunday.

Vegeta said - I don't like Giggs when he gets the ball, he puts his head down and sprints at the defender untill he sees the white of the by line and smashes the ball in along the floor. Its not skillful, only his dribbling is skillful.

I don't agree. I think giggs IS an incredible winger. His job is to terrify defences into making mistakes, mistakes that allow extra goals to appear that wouldn't normally. 'Smashing' a ball across the floor is the most effective cross there is. It's called a low-cross (simple enough).

For for strikers, nipping in behind a defense to tap one in is much easier than clearing a line of defence to head past the 'keeper.

So, giggs can do a wingers job much better than most, if not all players. He's not a one-man team, but he IS a class act.

Anyways, it IS a low cross, its not a pass. Well it is a form of pass, a low cross damnit! If you watch beckham his crosses are ****. It takes him 3 tries before he htis his own player, and thats being generous. I know he's famous for crosses free kicks and the like. But don't tell me he's skillful, he's a determined player who can shoot and pass well. He's not a legend

I really can't believe you put giggsies name behind beckham's in terms of skill.

I never said anything about Beckham being a legend, hes better than Giggs, hes no where near as good as players like Totti or Cafu as the means of crossing.

Beckham is way more skillful than Giggs. Ocassionally Giggs presents some magical stuff but he is often very poor whereas Beckham always plays to a very high standard, can lift any team and has many more aces up his sleave.

Right, I think i have your name right now, sos for incnv. I only got 6 month at leicester, i was 15 but suddenly moved to hk that summer! tell you what, if you want to play football professionally, don't go to hk!

that wasn't what i went for btw... my family are there, and i went back there to get an education, but came out with one a-level! Oh boy did i make some bad choices!

I don't see that you're making sense. Your experienced and respected member was trying to prove me wrong by saying he played better football than me. Fine, his achievements are v. good, but am i not allowed to retort in self-defence? I do know how to play football, and that was my way of illustrating it, it seemed the right reply considering he considered having played at a fairly high level of football to be proof!

I appologised for the name err. I did rectify, so i thought, But along with what i said previously, I am also stoned, surely you can understand that i too am susceptable to human error.

I just want to make clear now that, having said I'm stoned, I'm not telling you this to seem *cool* (as if i care), but a side-effect of my behaviour is memory loss and just general idiocy! OK? pls don't give me grief, cos i have to reply to make up for it and i want to play champman cos I'm almost in the EPL now (barnsley).

Don't worry about it, I flew off the handle yesterday, your only trying to get your opinion across and i went mad about it. MY intention is also just to have a good time and not fight. Anyway everything is cleared up so lets not worry about it - I still think Giggs is crap though lol

Underated player, Try Bakirciouglu, You can get him for 2.5m he should go upto 10m at least

Giggs is far from crap, he is still a very good player. Some of the stuff he does is amazing, but some of the stuff Beckham does is even more amazing and Beckham does it much more regularly.

Does nayone else think that Beckham always seems to do crap on CM, he often joins a team like Barca, rots in the reserves before joining someone like Celtic, where he rots on the bench. I personally think that Giggs is far superior to Beckham. But its a matter of opinion. Both are very good on CM, but Giggs will get a better life on it. lol

On my game Beckham went to Rangers in something like 2004 then he went to Leeds in 2006 and is now residing back at Glasgow! Its very strange but happens allot on CM, players leaving a club then coming back a few seasons later.
Giggs had a long carear at Man utd till he was about 36 then fobbed off onto free!
