Whats the most you spended on one player to increase his ratings?

Was considering spending 1000 on Sheringham but decided not to train him.

I've spent 1000 before to train Claudio Lopez... no big deal

I stated that I considered it, but in the end I did not train Sheringham. I'd rather get my 70-75 players more skills. Also right now my budget in about only 2 million so either I sell lots of players to get someone good or try to buy someone with 2 million, but right now nither seem worth it.
