I was recently playing a network game with my friend in La Liga and we both encountered some problems. For me, I was playing as Real Madrid and every team I played their gk would play a 9 or higher and receive man of the match, and I do mean every game. For him, he played as Sevilla and in every game he would lose in the 90th minute. Has anybody else encountered these problems?

yes that was in CM4 though, not CM03-04 
and the problem had nothing to do with losing
it was about Fixtures not being Generated after 1 season, but that was aloooooooong time ago.
to be honest those computer teams scoring in thr 90th min, and their GK stopping everything are expirienced in normal games too. Speaking from Expirience of course
