Lyon have money to buy all the best players of ligue 1 every year (pjanic, ederson, makoun this year, squillaci, bodmer, keita, last year, etc...). So lyon break the dynamics of other clubs in league 1.
They win matchs easily in french championship, and when they play the good European clubs, they do not usually have a strong opposition, and so they sink.
