Paulv2k4’s FIFA 14 Gameplay Mod/Patch -23 August 2014

[Description]
This is my own take on modding FIFA gameplay. I tend to play as a locked player in Career mode, so AI in my team and the opposition team are important to me. I aim for fairness for both sides and try to make the game both entertaining and realistic. I am not intending to compete with other Gameplay mods, just share what I use!

Version 0.51 -

[Version Changes]
• Smoother and slower ball physics
• Improved AI defending
• Tackling is improved and now result in some fouls

[Gameplay]

Features
• Vanilla GameplayAttribDB
• Removed Difficulty and Cheating Issues (see notes in rna.ini)
• Balanced Gameplay
+ Fast Players will now out-run Slow Players
+ Lower league teams can use height, jump and strength advantage over the big teams.
• Looser ball physics (new deflections in v0.5)
• Increased use of Tactics (AI now play long passes too)
• More difficult first-touch
• Smoother more fluid gameplay
• A little more fouls
• More AI attacking runs
• More comments for user tweaking

[Sliders]
I build this gameplay on default sliders. It is up to you to tweak for your satisfaction.

[Compatibility]
• Works with all Saved Career Mode games as database is not edited
• Works with all other edited databases - NOT GAMEPLAY FILES, YOU MUST DELETE ANY CL.INI

[Install]
• Delete other Gameplay setting files (some modders use cl.ini) from the FIFA 14 Game Folder
• Extract the data folder and rna.ini to the FIFA 14 Game Folder
• Rebuild .bh files using i68 Regenerator (i68 works for me, the others do not - Found Here)

Anything you can do to the ugly goals AI does? Most of the time they try to get really close and kinda pass the ball slowly into the lower corner. AI havent scored a single goal against me shoting top corners :|

Comments
As this is just a demo, I will not put too much work into it. The few big things I have noticed in this demo that need addressing are:
• Too many offsides
• Too easy to score from headers
• Not enough fouls (as we see with all football games)

- Harder shots (must always chance sliders to above 60)

Thanks Paul for another gamemod!

I played the FIFA 14 demo, but I still find it to easy and the game doesn't feel that much in balance. Hope you can address these issues.

What would be nice, if goal celebrations could be disabled. I really hate them, also online where you need to see them for some reason.. :S

Great to see you back for 14 Paul. How are you finding Fifa 14? I haven't had a chance to play it yet. Is the default Fifa 14 better than your tweaked Fifa 13? It's hard to imagine.

Hi Paul I did try your Ini in 2 match juve vs atletico madrid but sadly I did suffer 0 faul by IA. I use the mod of andreapirlo

I am going to ask you and the other gameplay modders if this can be fixed or not, but have you noticed that the CPU attempts Rainbow flicks this year, (both Simple Rainbow and Advanced Rainbow), but every single time they attempt it, it goes wrong with the same outcome, for Simple it hits the players ass, and for Advanced, the foot that is meant to flick it up and over the players head misses and the ball falls to the floor.

This I have witnessed about 9 times and each time either of the two situations above happens, so if its just me being unlucky and that you guys have witnessed an attempt at either Rainbow that has properly worked (!!), then this doesn't need fixing, but if you have seen the same as me, I am wondering if this is fixable within the .ini file modding, or whether, as I fear, its something EA have coded incorrectly and therefore needs fixing by them on a future update.

Please bear in mind I am looking purely at the CPU players attempting this, I know it works, and fails sometimes, if we try it ourselves.

Would love to hear what you have noticed, have you seen any of them come off when a CPU player has tried it against you?

(btw this happens similarly for the PC Demo and also for the XBOX360 full version)

This year FIFA 14 looks worth then last, and I really hope you fix this sh** :D
It would be very cool if you could change the behalior of the players on the field, making them much more traffic randomly, correct template starting positions at corners, free kicks, goal kicks.
And here a question about playing a career of pro player. At difficulty world class any team you play against has a huge ball possession. For example I play for Real Madrid vs Getafe, and there was like 42% / 58%. I try more tactics like high pressure, super attacs, but they contrls the ball perfectly, like barcelona, and it hard to pick up it. Can you change it? I dont know, maybe makes much more pressing by default.

This constant pressing from first to last minute of the game is fucking annoying in Fifa14. Everyone fucking tackles, even Kaka, who can't tackle irl to save himself. Could you please look at that.

I agree, this is the worst aspect of the game, if someone could get rid of that constant pressing on every part of the pitch, that would be awesome!
