Nice pot leaf, but what's with the bumper sticker look? It kinda ruins the jersey.
I though that was only a preview though? Are they really not getting a new logo and colors like they said they would?

Deisler;2300220 said:It’s been reported and “confirmed” (though no sources are ever mentioned) on a couple different RBNY sites over the past two days that Aston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel is in talks to become a Red Bull. If the Columbian — who, though streaky as hell, is quite a goal scorer when the mood strikes him — joined the club, one assumes he’d claim our second DP slot. As Metro Fanatic points out, at media day Arena did tease the signing of a designated player sometimes in the next month, but remembering the Tin Delagado debacle, I’m not including to put too much stock in his vague promises until we see pen put to paper.
Angel really struggled to settle in when he first joined Villa many years ago, but once he became comfortable in the side he was a great attacking option for them and lead the team in scoring at least once. He experienced a downturn during the David O’Leary years (Who wouldn’t?) but has returned to form this year and is again scoring at a good clip. He cost Villa a mint when they signed him from River Plate and, though he’s obviously aged since then, wouldn’t come cheap to RBNY.
I know I should be more cynical about this sort of rumor, but this is one deal I might not mind, depending on the price. Angel isn’t young — he’s 31 right now — but he’s a proven scorer, and that’s exactly what we need. If he came it would probably take him a while to settle in but, if the fans and Bruce could be patient with him, he could offer us some much-needed flair and creativity up front.
PS: What's so wrong with the name Red Bull?

Deisler;2300227 said:Well you should look further than just the name man. Before they were the Metros, Giants stadium was deserted and the team was on the brink of bankrupcy. The players were demotivated and other than Djorkaeff no one wanted to be here even though NY is a big city.
When Red Bull took over they had a plan. We will have a new stadium. The coach is the best we could get and the managment is rock solid so far. Players now want to be in NY and play for the Red Bulls.
My point is: If it will help improve the league i could care less if my teams name is Viagra Ny instead just to make my point of course.

What do you guys think?
From the brief moments I've seen him play, he made a good impression. He's tiny like you say, but very quick and energetic. Good pace. His lone goal for the Galaxy came on a nice diving header.Parra Power;2301041 said:OK so this is slightly off topic, but it seemed pointless making a new thread about it. Michael Enfield, ex-Galaxy, I think he even got a few starts, currently trialling for Sydney. Apart from being tiny is there anything LA fans (or anyone else for that matter) can tell me about him?
