Mission: Impossible: III

yeah it's a bad movie if you don't take it lightly as it's so much 'cliche'd it hurts and the storyline is totally basic.

Despite that it's very good entertainment. Good film to switch your brain off and enjoy the fireworks.

Just saw the movie, and i must say i liked the movie alot, it was full of action from starting to ending. :rockman: :rockman: It was almost as close as MI1. :rockman:

Very nice movie.. the action was amazing, the scenes were amazingly constructed.

The story was TONS better than MI:2.. (worst movie ever)

The style of the movie was VERY close to the classic mission impossible TV series. But not as close as it gets. I luved the TV series.

But...

The happy ending was TOO happy.

Tom Cruise, being the producer, made sure (just as in MI2) that he appears as flawless and perfect as possible. And when the lead actor is shown devoid of flaws, well this takes out a great deal of emotion and empathy out of the experience....

But a really REALLY good movie... I mean its Mission Impossible. You don't expect something realistic or near realism.

MI:1's story is still the best (mysterious convoluted plot line full of deception)

Starting XI
went to see it tonight but the movie was sold out!!! :boohoo: it was the last one on the night too so there wasn't another one to wait for.

I'm so disappointed.

just watched it a few hours ago. non-stop action.

plot is decent. characters are underdeveloped, bit too obvious. one of those movies where you'll walk out saying it was alright, and will forget about it the very next day.

average. not worth going to the cinema for this film.

p.s. Cruise's comical attempt to speak Mandarin. Hilarious.

just watched this, thought it was great (Y)

Cruise and Hoffman are great, but the real undeniable star here is JJAbrams. Bloody fantastic director.

Mind you some of the "emotional" scenes are SO like Lost that its unbelieveble. Also he actually reuses some of the music used in Lost in one of the final scenes to create tension. Bit cheap (H)

I dont know. I see it as his style, his trademark. I watched a few of this last season of Alias and I could see that same style from Lost.
like Zach Braff, when he started directing Scrubs episodes they all have the same feeling (Y)

no no, i'm not having a go, was just joking. I'm a huge Lost fan so it was nice to see some of the same touches of suspense added, Lost is an amazingly good suspense/thriller type TV show. But i dont think his "emotional scenes" style is very good in either film or TV series. He slows the scene down, puts melodramatic music over the top and it all seems very pretentious.

But like i say, in the scenes towards the end when Cruise is looking for Jules (sp?) it's very VERY well done.

I have to say i was very impressed, seeing as MI:II was a bit of a letdown at the hands of Woo.
