Mido to Marseille !

Olympique de Marseille completed the signing of Egypt's star striker Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam this today. Hossam signed a five year contract that will keep him at Marseille till July 2008.

The Egyptian star put the pen to paper in an official press conference which took place in Cairo. The player was presented in the press conference and was given the number 9 sky blue shirt of Marseille.

Marseille will pay 6 M EUROs to Ajax and pay 3 M EUROs after three months. As well as this, the Amsterdam based side might get extra 3 M EUROs next summer if the French side managed to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Byyyyyyyyyyeeeee Mido you could've been playing for Ajax still if you played your cards right but you didn't so this is the result.
I hope Marseille will get better with Mido I really do!

If he can do at Marseille over a whole season what he did with Celta the last couple of months in the La Liga, he should have no problem finding his feet in the team.

Plus he brings Champions League experience with him, vital for Marseille as they return to the pinnacle of European club football.

Well Ahmed, the truth is that I'm sorry to see him go but he doesn't have what it takes to play for Ajax and that's the sad truth. His attitude needs to change bigtime!
He said bad things about the coach Ronald Koeman when he was back in Egypt and that's weak IMO.
Backstabber is a bit harsh I agree but we don't need him since we have a better striker now in Sonck and Sonck is a very likeable guy off the field and a gentleman but on the field he's a pitbull and that's what Ajax needs.
Koeman said yesterday that Ajax will be stronger this year than in the last season because of Sonck and two new (still to be anounced) signings.

Mido scored his first official goal for Marseille during the match against Auxerre in Ligue 1 :) He is not on his best level, but he's already very amazing (H)

He's a very good player and in a few years if nothing goes wrong and he changes his attitude he will be a class player. Maybe he isnt a troublemaker, people are more likely to cause fights and something like that when they doesnt like someone. All he needs is to stop doing that so frequently:crazyboy:

His appearance against Auxerre was his debut match ?

Scored on his debut too for Celta last season.

Seems to be able to fit in well at any club.
