I'm in. (H)

Relegation 'Bottom-5' Pts./Gms./Total

14. Atlante - 117 - 89 - 1.3146
15. Atlas - 109 - 89 - 1.2247
16. Veracruz - 108 - 89 - 1.2135
17. Sinaloa - 60 - 51 - 1.1765
18. San Luis - 16 - 17 - 0.9412

I think Atlante might find themselves at the bottom 1 year from now. It's pretty much a race between the bottom-3, I'm hoping it's Veracruz for this tournament. :ewan:

18. San Luis - 16 - 17 - 0.9412

I think Atlas is going down this season :boohoo:

1st game of the new tournament started of with Tecos beating San Luis 2 - 1 with both of Tecos' goals called by the Mexican press , golazos, or in English superb strikes...

I predict this Clausura's MVP will be: Guillermo 'PacoMemo' Ochoa (GK) - America

(H)

But seriously, I think the best chances of winning this Clausura are actually the 2 teams from the north, Monterrey and Tigres. Both squads got very good signings, and even though Monterrey lost 'Guille' Franco they signed 3 other very good strikers. Herrera is a very good coach, and the same with Tigres coach Ferretti. 'Chamagol's' addition to Tigres is huge especially for the playmaker Gaytan, and the sudden appearence of Aldo de Nigris as a scorer. All this of course if we don't win our 11th title. :)

Vamos America! :rockman:

Once again, we should had lost by alot more...

How in the hell are we going to play Colo Colo on tuesday, with this frackin inconsistent, diving, and really lacking motivation, so called team.

Bofo will problably not be back anytime soon.
We're really in bad shape, and the season just started!

We will play six games in the next 3 weeks, I have no idea what the hell we're going to do...

BTW:
We really should have just one thread.

I doubt anyone saw the Toluca game, I seem to be the only one. But man did Esquivel own the Necaxa defense. (Y) If Osorno gets a call up I dont see why he wouldnt.

Big news for Cruz Azul and the Mexican NT...

Aaron Galindo and Salvador 'Chava' Carmona will have their suspension lifted, and be allowed to play the coming Clausura tournament w/ Cruz Azul after a 6-month ban (reduced from 1 year).

This means no more 'maza' Rodriguez on the NT, instead Lavolpe can call up Galindo and the same w/ Carmona. The RB position was giving Lavolpe problems because he didn't have a definite starter, looks like problem resolved.

Let's hope that they reduce the punishment to 6 months and hopefully both Chava Carmona and Aaron Galindo will get into playing rythm for the World Cup....

That's really great news.

I coulndn't even keep count of all the mistakes Maza made in the last chivas game. :nape:

No.

Next Round (2) - Home Team, listed first.

(Saturday)
Cruz Azul v Atlas
Monterrey v Morelia
Guadalajara v UNAM
Sinaloa v U.A.N.L
Veracruz v U.A. de G.
Necaxa v Chiapas

(Sunday)
San Luis v Toluca
América v Pachuca
Santos v Atlante

We're coming back to 'El Nido' but Pachuca is a very good team, they murdered Monterrey 3 - 0 last week. I ain't worried though.

Lavolpe will still call him up, the fact that he's tall is enough reason for him to do so. :nape:

Is it wrong to hope for his current injury to last a long time? :D
