Max File PS2

Ive d/ld the update file for the PS2 verson of the game (kits ect)
I have still to buy my son the Max Drive, but Iwas wondering when I get it for him....


Do I just plug it into a usb port in my PC and drag the Max File onto the temp D and then plug the MD into his PS2, but what do I do then, where do I copy/upload the Max File to ???

And once the file is in the PS2 , is there anything else I need to do with it to get the new kits and the rest to take?


I know about the PC version, where I have to use an ASFExplorer to get the kits and all to take and update on my PC...

Will I need to use a ASFExplorer on the PS2 as well ???


Can someone give me an Idiots guide to this file transfer on the PS2 or point me in the direction of one ...

The boy is bring up his PS2 (now later today) Friday, so I guss I will be tiedup for the rest of Friday... can't wait!

You can buy a Max Drive for £10 from Play.com, I don't know how you actually use it though.

You put the Max Drive into your PS2 and the disc along with it. You go from there, it's easy.

First of all, i must to say that max drive or x-port will not Pacth the ps2 game. I mean you only will can do things like import Option Files (correct names of players, stadiums, stats, tranfers, etc), in a word, all that you can do with the game editor but did it by others (this is useful if you dont want to stay hours putting the correct names, uniforms, etc, with the game editor).

So, forgot to use ASF, WePicture, etc....because it means that you are PACTHING the game, i mean, new textures for t-shirts, new textures for stadiums, new faces textures, etc....So max-drive cannot import to ps2 this data (max-drive is only 16 mg)

How it works: You must to connect your ps2 with your computer via cable (only 2 metters) on usb port. In your computer you can edit the memory card data (using the sofware provided by max-drive). So always, any data that your manage will go to the memory card. Then you can download .max files done by pes fans. Once you donwload this files, the provided software update your memory card with the new data installing it on your memory card, and you can now play the game with the new names, stats, etc. That´s all.

Neovico, I hear what you say about option changes, but on other pes forums it say's that the PS2 Max File I d/ld (yet to transfer) WILL change the kits and the people who created this file showed a few screenshots of the updated kits....

it will change the kits just not to the point of having sponsors on them and such. With a max drive you can only change what you would be able to do within the games editor, just with a max drive someone else did it for you. Including badges,flags,correct names,teams and stadiums.
