Master League - Fatigue messed up?

Decado

PES2008 PC version

I noticed when I tried out the master league just how incredibly quickly players get tired. One of my players only had 1/4 to 1/3 stamina left for the his second match...the 2nd week of the season!?!? What pro football player gets tired that easily? All the other players who played the first match were only had about 3/4 stamina left (maybe a little more for some). This is ridiculous. You'll enough quality players to fill 2 1/2 teams to compete in ML (I bet the AI is 100% fresh for each game).

Anyone else find the fatigue system in PES 2008 to be screwed up?

same for me, and this makes it almost impossible to play ML with default ML team on a hard difficulty. I have to change the whole lineup quite often and put in ****ty players (not that there are any good ones in the default ml team).

just turn accumulated fatigue it sucks! most pros are fit for every game, until they get old anyway, so just turn it off, but have injuries on. if they get injured fair do's.

using the dash button or not the players will still get tired, and in order to win u will have to use dash button some time...

This is not just a ML related problem. In any league or cup competition it's the same. The fatigue system is so unrealistic that it basically rules out playing with any smaller club. Players can play more than one game in a row. The keepers get tired too. I played a World Cup and after the first game my number one keeper was dead tired.

What is more interesting is that the cpu players do not need any rest. Try playing a league and actually winning the top scorer competition when you have to rotate your players and the cpu don't. Etoo and Nistelrooy play every game and they hit so many goals you can't keep up with them if you have to rotate your team. It's not dead serious but it ruins one aspect of the game. The basic idea of the fatigue system is good and should they fix to match reality as it would give a nice flavor into the game. Players' stamina don't seem to make any difference either... This should be fixed.

This is a bit off topic but it's pretty much too easy to score with a fast player especially if he's good with the ball (read C.Ronaldo). He is so fast and handles the ball so well it is quite easy to get into scoring positions and he does score a lot of goals. Well one might say he does that in real life too (I agree and I'm happy about it as a United fan) but it would be nice to actually have to think a little when trying to build up a scoring chance. Now you can just run down the flank and cut in and score. That is with these fast players. Maybe when they release an editor I shall decrease the speed of all the players (especially the attackers and midfielders ) to make this a little bit harder. PES has always been about passing and team work and not arcade style running with a fast player- type of game...

The game is fun though even with all it's flaws...

trust me, konami didn't make it too easy to score, the defense you are playing just sucks and u can outrun them every time...i play vs my friends and there isnt a player that can be used to score easily if you play good defense, if u commit against these players then yea they will burn you but if you mark them position wise and force them into the middle when they have the ball, theres far less chance of that player going through everyone in the middle and scoring

This is an everlasting problem with PES. First off accumulated fatigue is waaaay exaggerated but also the players' fatigue stat is not dealt with properly, as it seems that it follows the players general abilities when it shouldn't (and this is apparent especially in ML youngsters)

It seems that for lesser players or ML youngsters the fatigue stat is around 60-70 which makes then almost useless. A professional football player's fatigue would normally be over 80 (in terms of how the game works) and below that only in older players. There are even well known players that by default can't make it through a whole game without draining the fitness bar (let alone consecutive games with accumulated fatigue on). Especially for ML youngsters it's horrid as the particular stat's development follows the curve of other abilities and so it's impossible to train them. Even if you get a player with good stats and a curve he will start with fatigue in the 60s and will get up to a 70 max in later years.

This is ridiculous and it has been there since at least PES4. The people at Konami should realise that low technical abilities in a player doesn't also mean low physical abilities. Of course they've gone through 11 iterations of the game without realising that we might want to view a replay even after the ball has gone out for a goal kick so I don't expect much any more...

You have two options:
(a) Edit all players so that they have a stamina of 99 and a condition of 8 (I'm not sure though if the PES Editor is out yet)

(b) Turn off Accumulated Fatigue as loz99 suggested.

I don't have Pro Evo 2008 yet, but as I remember from Pro Evo 6 there's an option before you start a tournament or the Master League that says 'Accumulated Fatigue: Yes'. Or something like that.
